UCC today!!!!! (Ultimate Chopping Championship)

This was very intresting to read but you missed posting a picture! What car do you drive? :D

You are absolutely right - the war pics are those that sell the commercial airtime .
Unfortunately I don't have Becker pics B/cause I don't own one yet... Instead here is a pic of my mountain bike which is , like a Becker , all steel , all rigid . This was taken in my neighborhood - the Jerusalem area

cool bike!

what do you mean you have no Becker yet?

email me, got some questions for you.

2 wheel rear drive 4 banger gas mazda pickup. 300000KM's, over 200000KM;s are from logging roads and decommissioned roads. I go thru shocks and tires yearly. Have gone places my 4 wheeling buddies have failed to get thru.

patience, slow careful driving is key.

Sweet bike:thumbup: I have one just like it, I love it. Is that a front derailleur I see on there? If you don't mind me asking what kind is it? I've been wanting to add another sprocket to the front.

Yep , it's a Shi*ano LX crankset with an XT derailleur , making the bike 3X9 speed (I know it defeats the "Mono9" model name , but I couldn't do it otherwise) . BTW , this mod leaves very little rear tire clearance .

Sorry for the late posting, but I just saw your thread and enjoyed it very much. I would love to see the same comparison, but instead of the BK 9 that is actually shorter than the Junglass, see the RTAK II against it. That would be interesting. They are the same length and almost same weight. Do you know if it has been done?
Nice post!

I love love love my Junglas. But now I see a need for a BK9. Then I will put my 330+ plus pounds of Ogre behind the blades and see if there is a difference in cutting old hard oak. Yes, I need a 9.

I'm glad to see this post Bushman. I really enjoyed the comparisons. I, like you, agree that there is a usually a given knife for a given task whether in the woods or camping. But if I had to have just one... I'd take the Becker anytime!

Good stuff, as always, Bushman.

You ever had to use that Bear Spray on anything ? Of course, real men don't use bearspray, they back away slowly saying, "ho there, easy boy. Nice bear, that's a good bear"

Good stuff Bushman, love me some Esee Junglas and BK9.

But out of the two I would take the Junglas, freaking suck a awesome blade....

I will take advantage of this necroposting to ask if anyone heard of Bushman lately ? I lost contact with him couple of months ago and I hope everything is OK .

Very good post.......I have spent a little time with a Junglas in hand and I love it's balance and choppiness.......

Great photos....Thank you for sharing your trip with me.....Btw that tinder/kindling pile was glorious, glorious overkill....A quart of Diesel would have to take a backseat.....The pyro in me was truly wishing to be there.....

I always enjoy your posts----good humor, good writing an always grand pix.......

Thank You.....
