Ugliest Knife ever?

I think they have already messed up themselves by making ugly knives. :barf:

I'd like to point out that the deer foot handled knives were EVERYWHERE once upon a time! This was before we were scared of -GASP- using animal parts for function!

I love knives with antler, horn, bone, ivory, or leather handles. A knife with a hairy deer foot is just tacky and ugly. The hair on it would probably fill up with all sorts of crap if you actually used the knife.

I've seen quite a few deerfoot knives, while the folding ones look decent when new, most go bald, and drop the fur:barf:. Mice, and other things love to eat them also.

The tanto style is beautiful if done traditionally. Although the usefullness of the blade style is somewhat limited. Although smaller blades differ from the "appleseed" of japanese swords the tanto still offers great penetration and strength. Since the blade was designed as a weapon its utility is lacking. I do like that blade Bob W.

Getting back to the point, you can always count on United to offer some ugly knives.

My sentiments exactly. The traditional tanto blade style is the most elegant blade style and still remains one of the strongest, most lethal blades in history. The Hamon, Menuki, tsuba, and real stingray made an excellent weapon. It is meant for elegance, beauty, class, honor, and use. However, traditionally the tanto was used to commit "haru-kari", and to fix the hair of the samurai. (traditional tantos often concealed small knives or sharpened pieces of metal to be used as hair picks) The wakazashi and katana where the weapons. I am going to far with this.
