I may have missed something, but from what I understand there will be no announcements when Ugly Betty's go on sale. Is there any set time of day, day of the week or time of the month we need to look or is it just whenever Ellie finds them and feels like posting them at any random time. Without any of this inside knowledge that I became used to on the Monday sales, I feel very nervous that I am missing out on a chance to buy a Survive! at such a great price. I bought one Ugly Betty and crave a few more in more models. Please let me know of any inside info that becomes available. I wish there was an app that would notify me by phone when these are listed.

Amen. I agree with all of this. I'd love to get some UB's to beat on. I'm hard on knives and they would be perfect for me, but I work all the time and can't access BF at work. (HUGE sigh.....). Maybe the secondary market again........
 
I would even like to hear anyone's theories on a sales pattern for these Betty's too. Is this all just random? I want to be ready for the 2.7 Ugly Betty's and others. I would not be afraid to beat these Ugly girls.
 
I think they've been listing some (like the limited edition 5.1s) at random times or just when one comes up because there's so few an annoucment would only lead to people getting frustrated when they go and there's nothing there because that 1 or 2 were probably gone before most people even received the notification. I think if there's a good number of items she waits and does the Monday sales. Now, what might make sense is just to let them sit and gather for a while, build-up, and then have more for a Monday sale
 
I think you are right about not having many to sell so they keep it on the down low. I love it when I just happen to come across it at the right time. I don't mind looking daily, but I would like to know if Ellie is prone to listing them at certain times of day for these. I wish sometimes they would have a secret sale for returning customers. They could email me a special deal that I have to respond to within 24 hrs. This would make me feel part of a secret and elite group and they recognize that loyalty. It is really sad that I like that idea. Maybe even a bundle package could be offered of a 4.7 2nd with a 2.7 2nd. They could also be Ugly Betty's. All this randomness drives me crazy.🤓
 
That is not the insider info I am looking for, but thanks. That is why I am talking in a forum for Survive! Knives. I know Ellie posts info to the website for general public, but I want insider info for us. We appreciate the special deals, offers and limited editions.

Are you on the Facebook page? Both times the UBs went up for sale there was a broadcast post there saying they were up. You can also subscribe to the Heads Up tread here and get notifications for it and for FB (I think). That's maybe as good as it's gonna get.
 
Yeah I am a member there and I saw the announcement. I was just hoping there might be more to it. By the time I see that and go to Survive they are gone.
 
Ugly Betty 5.1 on sale now. Ugly Betty original 5 spec on sale now. Also several seconds on sale. All on the Survive website. I just picked up an old spec 5 Ugly Betty.

Me too, everytime. I see it within 5 mins of it being posted, then get the page to load. (4g) "This combination is Unavailable" everytime!!! Also, i wanna see some pics of these ugly bettys with their "severe cosmetic issues." How bad could it be for 118$?

Congrats! I can't wait to see what they look like. These have always been great deals, but at this price it is like stealing.

Took me a while to figure this out too. But when this stuff is available it:
Google-
Gso survive -
(Scroll down)
Choose "categories"
Then choose "limited editions"
Then if theres any available, they will show up. But normally gone in the first hr if not mins.

Thanks! That's where I looked and usually when something sells out there is still a link to click on. I didn't see any sign of the 5's. Do they have the tumbled finish?

This is a mind blowing surprise to me. I really we'd seen the last of the old spec stuff. Very cool for those who got one!
