Anyone have a picture of a regular, 2nd, and Ugly Betty to compare.... I received my regular CRUV 4.7, but am waiting on the other two. I'll post some pictures up when they arrive, but wondered if anyone had some comparison pics.
There is just a bit more real estate than I really need on the 5.1 handle, but the slightly smaller 4.7 handle is right in the Goldilocks zone for me.
On the 4.7 the contour for the first finger is a bit deeper than on the 5.1 as well. On either knife clenched in the fist my fingers don't quite touch the base of my thumb and palm, both are a great size for me.
The 4.7 is more of a spear point, the 5.1 is more of a drop point with more belly.
They have about the same amount of straight edge but the 5.1 has 3/8" or so more blade and a higher point, so the difference in sharpened edge is mostly in the curvature to the point.
For anybody that has a Koster MUCK the 5.1 is very similar in overall length, but the 5.1 balance is neutral on the first finger and the choil on the 5.1 takes away some of the sharpened edge.
The MUCK is slightly thicker but with a skeletonized handle the weight balance is at the base of the blade (about an inch more forward than the 5.1) and the blade is angled slightly lower with respect to the handle.
The MUCK also has more of a pommel flare that facilitates a two finger grip if you want to whack at things with it.
Regular CFV, 2nd 3V, and Ugly(hah!) Betty CFV.

Ugly Betty is the Deal Of the Century! Keep our secret quiet. I don't want demand to go high when they seek more.
Why do they even call them ugly betty
I can't find what's wrong with it looking at the pictures
If I could find the difference I would. Bevels appear matching and straight, jimping looks regular on the back of the blade and pommel, plunge lines are crisp and symmetrical, handles are fit tight... The only difference I can find is the Ugly Betty print.Nice collection!
Care to share a written description of the differences between your CFV first and ugly?
It isn't always something you would expect to see in a photo. The specs might be a bit off as far as handles fitment, blade geometry, very mismatched bevels, or things of that nature. There is one that has a huge gash right on the guard. Anything that is so bad we wouldn't feel right selling it for even the 10% off price.
