that fared a lot better than I thought it would. Suppose in terms of all the knives available out there, saks might be the most resilient in terms of going through a washing machine cycle. wonder how a gec would fare with its 1095 steel

Several of the ones I've sent through were GEC's, sometimes some light spotting, sometimes nothing. My more heavily patina'd blades seem to handle it best, freshly sharpened edges always gets a few spots.

But that's the thing, I wasn't washing any pants so I have no clue how it ended up in the laundry.
That is the weirdest part about all of this.
I carried it last week and swapped to my Texas Jack for this week and would have put it back where it belongs during the swap.
Maybe it got knocked off the shelf into the basket when I walked by ?

I suppose it's like the old tootsie pop commercial, the world my never know.
