Ulster Old Timer Prince Albert set from factory

Hey guys,

I am in the process of putting one of the Prince Albert sets together for myself, but I also found an interesting potential side project. In 1975, Prince Albert did another promotion with the Old Timers. I purchased a can for way too cheap because it also came with the coupons (I've including pictures). No specific details can be found, however, to give specifics on the knife. I already have a 58OT, acquired from my late grandfather, for the 3-knife P.A. project, and I wasn't sure if this was the same "whittler" to which this 1975 campaign also refers. Yes, even though the pattern is a stockman, not a whittler. The coupons have an expiration date of December 31, 1975. If anyone has any information, please let me know! I'm also in the process of researching these Dr. Grabow pipes.

Thanks & God bless,
Tim

Thank you for the advice! I attempted to post again, but I cannot tell if the photos are available for your viewing. Maybe I am not as advanced in using a Mac as I need to be yet..

Yes, I think the "whittler" knife is the Ulster 58OT. Nice set.

I also find it interesting that the brown plastic is referred to as "Staglon" in the ad. Perhaps "Delrin" is a later term.

Guys, just thought you should know that I have also completed my Prince Albert set (this is a proud moment for me as a young collector)! Will post pictures as soon as the last two arrive. Also, the camper knife shows a lot of use on the blades and openers. Should I have it cleaned, polished, etc., or should I leave it as-is to show its character? Your opinions are appreciated.

Been a while, I have just completed my set for the Prince Albert promotional knife offer. Last time I was on, I had a consern that my Camper / Utility, was in fact the knife offered in the ad. The knife was based on the 114 pattern, what ever that means, and continues to be considered the 114OT. I have only seen a couple of these and as yet to see a tang stamp showing 114. Someone told me here that it could have been missed at the factory or blade had been replaced at one time, but I have owned this knife for over 40 yrs. or so. I dont exactly remember just when my father handed it down to me. So I know its never been out of the family. So blade replacement would have been highly unlikely. If anyone has anymore info on this missing tang stamp, I would greatly appreceiate it. As soon as I can remember how to post pictures on here, I will proudly do so. Thanks
