you know.... it was said about the khukuri which did against all odds come into being, but I doubt busse will ever make an axe proper, the kind that has a haft. However, if the axes and hatchets that have been made are any indication of whats to come, chances are it's going to be a "tactical" axe if anything. with LOTS of unecessary frills.

One day when I have lots of extra money I'm gonna get a crash axe and de-spike/de-finger groove it to make a standard 2 hand usable house axe that doesn't weight as much.

something like this:

taken from someone elses post and photoshoped... don't remember where from though
I remember that picture :D nice mods

By definition, all Busses are limited editions, and the ones with a short production run can still be ordered from the custom shop, like many other Busse blades.

Does anyone have any idea about ballpark costs for that? Would it be similar to the cost of the original issue, or would it be something crazy like double, triple, or more?

Best practice is to call the shop and ask. Anyone here not directly working for Jerry would just be speculation.

Old thread, just read back, I was incorrect, the Zilla is the best Busse chopper I've used ( I guess that's what you get for speaking before trying)

My ultimate chopper'er's :). I can only drool over some of the other sweetness posted herein !

I find that a stihl chain saw is far superior to any knife.....and for about the same price as many of these choppers :D

How much wood could a Stihl chopper chop if a Stihl chopper could chop wood? Do you backpack with your Stihl? :D

Of what I have used, the NMFBM & Zilla's are the tops of the INFI, I am sure a MOAB and the Chuckette would be great too... but for kin, I suspect the 1311 is going to be pretty high up the list if my B11 is any indication. I'll know soon...

How'd you get that big scar on your leg? Oh, never mind :) Beautiful knife, beautiful photo. Nice axe/hatchet/tomahawk thing too :)
