My wife and I are headed for Alaska next summer for 6 weeks of camping and kayaking. I have given a lot of thought to my gear and just completed this little ax to take along. It is small enough to fit in my pack but will still cut firewood; small of course. I figure to use it like an ulu for cooking and use it as a combination knife and ax. It will be almost impossible to peel a potato but I will be taking my leatherman along too. When I lived it the Great White North one of my fishing guide friends used to show off by using a small ax to filet walleyes. Lots of possiblilties here.
