I’m really glad to hear it!

Thats great, I’m glad! I thought someone would enjoy the Childress, I really liked it too. It was such a nice little knife that I went down a bit of rabbit hole looking at other Childress knives on here and hunting down another one that I liked even though I discovered his work after he passed. And you can’t go wrong with an old Case either! And scout knives are classic. Thanks again to seas165 seas165 who very kindly helped get this GAW off of the ground. :) Happy anniversary here on the forum, and enjoy the knives in good health. Long live the Porch! Haha :)

Thanks to CVamberbonehead CVamberbonehead for the giveaway. I got my box in and posted a few thoughts in the Newest Additional Traditional thread, so check the recent pages for that if your curious. Of the knives I gravitated to the most, none but the GEC were on my radar as favorites. So it was a great learning experience getting to handle a nice batch of blades of so many different shapes and sizes. It's the reason I like the passaround giveaway so much here. Will be carrying knives from this box for the next few weeks looking to see which take hold. I also plan on gifting a few from the box to others as well.

Awesome! The GEC was pretty nice, though I was really taken by the pearl handled knife that @bladesmith3’s wife took an interest in, since it was thicker. I always want to like a Congress pattern but the handles always seem like they’re curved the wrong way, so I always end up just admiring them with no real use for them. I think if my hands were smaller they’d work better for me.
And heck yeah, pass it on! That’s great. 😁
