Ultimate hard use folder

I think the Hinderers are worth it, and can take a lot of abuse.

Please, my Walmart folder can do anything a Hinderer can, for about 2% of the price. Expensive knives are just for snobs to show off how much money they have, it doesn't impress anyone but themselves.

That does it! No Hinderer for you! :p

Implying I could get one any time soon even if I wanted an overpriced brick in the first place :p

Just for your viewing pleasure.............. :D

There are some really great choices in production folders now. These are amazing times.

Just some that I have experience with are:

SMF GG 3V
Spyderco Tuff 3V
Kershaw/ZT 0551 Elmax
Benchmade Adams D2
Benchmade Contego CPM M4

Not to mention older but still impressive knives like

Kershaw/ZT 0200 154cm
Spyderco Chinook 1,2 or 3, or manix 1 or 2 XL S30V
Benchmade Skirmish & Rukus S30V
Lone Wolf T3 S30V
Hossom Retribution 1 N690C

I could go on. If I can't get a job done with one of these I need power tools. Most of these are really amazing deals too. Not at all expensive for what you get.

This Robert Carter folder is a TANK!!! CM 154--and it stays sharp!! He builds them to last!!

I am a Wilderness First Responder & My GF is an EMT in CO & TX. Ive tried contacting Hinderer Knives to get on the list with zero response. Oh we'll. My honest recommendation is a Strider folder. I've pried & disassembled a pallet for firewood, pried a door jamb off & recently notched (batoned) several boards with a framing hammer with mine. Still perfect. G10 is some tough stuff but its fairly light. Plus Strider is the only Folder maker that I know of who does not recognize the term "abuse" in their warranty. If I'm not mistaken I thought I'd heard that Hinderer was too busy to do any service/repairs.

I have several nice knives. When I have no idea what the day will bring me & I'm traveling light, grabbing an SnG/SmF is a no brainer. Get yourself a nice used LEGO SnG/SmF. Actually "ride it like you stole it" THEN form an actual informed opinion.

Folders I have, that I wouldn't hesitate to really beat the crap out of:

1. Buck/TOPS CSAR-T
2. 5.11 Knives "First Responder"
3. Benchmade Adamas
