Ultimate Survival Knife

Ok,that brought back memories :)..I had both, black & camo....the cutting edge was dull and you needed a belt sander to put a edge of it.....saw was crap, matches was ok,and the fishing kit was lack luster as well as the compass,Saw sucked and the bottle opener ?....but I had to have a pair !:D

I still have one..I was actually contemplating putting a new handle on it and making it look moderately respectable...and my compass is missing.

oh yeah. I had the camo one. I purchased it at an army/navy surplus store. I wonder what happened to it.

have one as well .. the sheath is Completely disintegrating.. but the knife s ok... still as dull as anything... hehehe

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

I remember those! I love the part where you can keep the sheath as the free gift!:D And what is 420 molecular steel?

Those things RULE!!!!!!:D Did you see the pimp they got to model it? He was awesome. I wish they gave his belt free with purchase. That buckle was too sweet.:D

Order now and get the unique opportunity to lose ALL of your survival equipment at once when your piece of shit knife comes adrift of your piece of shit scabbard WHICH you can keep (along with its hopefully still attached sharpening stone) even if you ever find, and decide to return, the knife!

The nostalgia in this for me was that it comes from a time, not so long ago, when television marketers only needed to deliver their pitch in an excited tone. These days they yell all the time while looking crazed and overstimulated.

My uncle gave me one of those 20 yrs. ago. I don't remember what I ever did with it. I do remember, though, that the sheath was actually Naugahyde. I still dig that dude's belt buckle in the commercial! Everyone knows that all the best survival equipment comes out of Brooklyn, NY. :D

"It's the bedst selling knife of it kind, ever sold by us"
You really cant argue about that

When you guys are ready get the upgrade, I did!

Yeah those things were crap but as a kid I was the biggest baddest boyscout in the troop with that thing. The "sportsman's knife" that came with it wasn't too bad though. I actually got a lot of use out of it hunting and such until I came of age and decided to start spending more than ten bucks on a knife. I love the music in that commercial as well. Its totally 80s action/adventure soundtrack. I always hated that huge compass though. It made the knife look so stupid. I actually took it off and carried the knife around without it thinking that would somehow make it cooler. And the compass totally did not work. The hollow handle did come in handy for hiding cigs so my parents wouldn't find them.

That is the Jon J. Rambo, also the reason I got interested in knives.

Ahhh. The first blood. That thing is a monster. Whats the specs on that?

That is the knife I wanted as a boy. Rambo was the coolest when I was young. Well untill I saw Missing In Action. Chuck Norris is king.

Is that one of the Hibbens?

I just got the thing and can't wait to get out in the bush with it and bend it.:D

Funny, I actually keep some looseleaf tobacco in my survival kit. The reason being that I'm a smoker and while I'll survive just fine without it (and obviously in the long run would survive much better if I kicked the habit), a sudden complete lack of nicotine in a survival situation might not be the best thing for me ;)

Hey T, thats good thinkin. A smoke might help to calm ya with a sense of normal in a survival situatuion.

Just dont use your only match to light it!!!!;)

Think I have one in the trunk of the car. :)

I'll take a look and maybe get a picture. I DO remember tightening the handle with a socket/extension and maybe? 3/8ths socket. Uh...somewhat less than full tang.
