While shaping the handle, the rubber did wear away slightly faster than the G-10, giving it a bit of a "ribbed" texture in addition to the softness of the rubber. I was worried that where a long slope of rubber was exposed, the edge might pull up when buffing, but I didn't see any of that. Of course, that doesn't answer the question about long term durability.

Personally, it felt good in the hand and would probably be really helpful while field dressing game, but I think I would get hot spots if I then continued to use it for the rest of the butchering. Just my opinion.

Any actual in-the-field feedback will help.
