Im at a local craft/jewelry shop this morning and what do I see?

Thats right folks. a 99.99$ M-Tech and a 60 dollar Tac-force. I nearly called the clerk over but decided there's nothing I could say without being rude. I'm still absolutely miffed. I shall be for some time.

My eyeball is still twitching.
 
I encountered something very similar not too long ago. It was a strip mall store that sold the cheapest of cheap imported goods... mostly decorative stuff. They did, however, have a pretty large case full of knives. Their Mtechs were all in the $30-$50 range, but what really blew my mind was the price tag on a couple of *Kershaws*. They had a blatantly fake Chive sitting next to a shockingly good copy(possibly real, but very improbable) of a Leek. Both were priced at $299. Thats right, three hundred bucks...but hey, they were at least offering 20% off everything in the case.
 
You should have called over the clerk and said, I was wanting to look at your knives, but I think you have them mismarked by a decimal point, then you should have pulled out your phone and brought them up on any website that shows them for under $10, LOL. The look on their face would have been priceless!!!!
 
Wowzers and I gave a guy a hard time at a local mall who had them priced @ $40! But he was not the proprietor simply a hirling so I let him off easy but made him promise to give his superior a thorough thrashing
 
1. They could be sprint runs! Hence the higher price!
2. If you haggle, you could probably get the Mtech for $80 and the Tac Force for $45.
3. If you switch to Geico and saved $450 on your car insurance, those knives are basically free.
 
It's an offshoot of the "I saw it on the internet, it must be true" syndrome. :rolleyes: Some (many) people believe that if it says this is the price, it must be normal. :( Or some mixed up thinking like that.
 
I've heard often things are worth what people will pay for them. I guess it applies to an MTech as much as it does a sebenza...
