Um...excuse me?

Hey, if they get someone to buy it for that then good on 'em. I have more of a problem with manufacturers who create utter crap and then make ads telling you it's the latest greatest bit of snake oil on the market featuring unubtanium and fairy farts. If you can find a sucker to buy your crap, go for it, but don't lie about the fact that it's crap.

And I told off a store owner for selling these sub 10$ knives for 15$, I probably would've really given it to them for selling them that high.
my brother actually paid 6$ for that exact M-TECH they're selling for 100$, and I've paid the same for very similar knives as a teenager and when I was collecting these as novelties.

Btw you should've been as rude as possible to the dirtbag with so little morality that they're willing to rip people off like this.

Im at a local craft/jewelry shop this morning and what do I see?

WTF.jpg

Thats right folks. a 99.99$ M-Tech and a 60 dollar Tac-force. I nearly called the clerk over but decided there's nothing I could say without being rude. I'm still absolutely miffed. I shall be for some time.

My eyeball is still twitching.

Sometimes flea markets or pawn shop establishment owners will look at a crappy knife in their inventory and go, "i have good taste and this is a nice knife, people will pay more for this awesome knife"

At my local flea market CRKT minimalists for 120$ because CRKT is like "the strongest best knives ever, absolute top of the line." It is too, compared fo his pot metal specials and pakistani customs.

Oh jeeze, don't get me started on the Pakistani...um...er.."Persian" damascus customs... I'm shocked that people consistently buy these, and show them of as if they're...something special...

I'm going back tomorrow and will post the results.

Here's a good example of the " classic sales pitch "

This is on the back of the card of a NOS 1977 imperial " Veri Veri sharp " kitchen knife I picked up on Saturday for 99¢
Not sure what new England has to do with a knife made in Providence Rhode island, but it's on there.
Duh. It's Super Sharp. They say it right there.

No, it's "Veri-Veri" sharp...
;):D:rolleyes:

Actually they weren't lying, this blade is an 8" serrated slicer with a scalloped micro tooth serration pattern and blade stock as thin as a fillet knife , it sure does slice meat and bread like nobody's business.

Of course the writing on the back is for advertising, but imperial sure knew how to make blades that slice and how to treat their steel.

You still should've said something, I'm pretty sure I would've. That's straight-up preying on people's ignorance, no other way to put it. :(
