Ummm I'm retiring..

Will, I'm very sorry to hear this unfortunate news...please stick around. I've always enjoyed reading your posts and have been enlightened by some of them. Prayers for you and your family. -Matt-

Will,
I had certainly noticed that you haven't been around lately. Sorry to hear that your health has been the issue and I wish you the best, speediest, and most complete recovery possible.

Ya gotta hang around !!! Making or not !!! Your brand of humor just can't be replaced ! Couple that with alot of experience, wisdom, and the willingness to share with us newbies and our simple nagging questions and it adds up to a Shop Talk member that is just unreplaceable.

I have greatly appreciated your comments in my posts and enjoyed reading your posts elsewhere the entire time I've been a member of blade forums and if you fade away from here you will be sorely missed my friend.

Stay tough ! Thats the Redneck way. - Josh :D

I too am sorry to hear your knife making will end. However allow the door to stay open as you said for conversations and advice. As well allow your life to move in whatever direction it seems to take you and I'll just bet that with what you have going already it will provide you with happiness and the excitement of living in the future. Frank

Will, I am real sorry to hear of your plight. I will never forget you reaching out a hand and giving advice to me when I was at one of my darker moments. I will say a prayer for you and your family. You hang in there man!
Your a true friend and I have been wondering why I had not heard from you. Be sure to yell out once in a while. Damn guess I will have to start picking on Charlie now:D!!!!!!!!!!

You may be retired, but you will always be a knifemaker, sharing your knowledge with others here. I'm very sorry to hear of your difficulties, and wish you the best. I don't know any of the specifics, but if there is hope of recovery in the future, I'm rooting for you.
Vaya con Dios, Amigo.

Hell... I ain't DEAD, I just can't grind or forge knives..... course that's pretty close to dead. :p

Thanks guys, now I remember why I hang around a bunch of stinky, dirty, black booger, crusty handed, ugly jokers like y'all. Y'all are good people (cept for IG, he's good ummmm good whatever he is :P )

I heard that.:jerkit::jerkit: Listen Yellowneck!!! You still have a open invite to come up.:eek: We can just hangout and drink beer. HEHEHEHEHE!!! Good luck Bubba.;)

Will, I'm sorry to hear about your health issue. Prayers and blessings incoming, firing for effect :D Anywho just wanted to tell ya I've always learned from your posts and kind of thought of you as one of my mentors. Hope you get to feeling better soon and can fire the forge up again soon.

Jason

Will, I don't know you, but I would like to say Good Luck. I can say from personal experience that it is now you will find out the importance of your real friends. Friends and family are the most important things in life. Hopefully you can still work on things that interest you, at your own pace.
Alden

Take care, I fully understand. Bad health is a miserable thing, and sometimes one has to give in. Stick around, and spend some time with your extended family here. BF has given me an outlet during those times when my health limits me in what I am able to do.

Good to see you'll still be hang'in around.
Like my Daddy say's " If you can't do it anymore you have to start teaching it."

I'm sorry to hear that, I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't able to work with my hands. But I do know that you have a lot to be thankfull for and look forward to learning more from you.

Stay checking in on things - We knifemakers may be out but we aint never down and out! You will find creative enjoyment in other ways I am sure :)

Will, I'm very sorry to hear of your medical problems and need for retirement from bladesmithing. I had noticed over the last few months or so that you hadn't been around that much, and I wondered often where you were and why you had been so quiet lately.

It seemed that you were always around to lend a helping hand to me (and other newbies) whenever I had a dumb question or needed some advice or feedback on something, and you often did so with a bit of humor that made it that much more enjoyable to hear from you. I sure hope that you will continue to contribute to the forum, as I've certainly missed your wit and advice, and I also hope that someday you will be able to again make knives (if that's something you want to do of course.)

Thanks for letting us know what's going on, and again I'm sorry to hear about your troubles.
