Umnumzaan disassembling

Lol I figured someone would correct me if I was wrong, just hope no one ran out and bought any in the meantime! On my instructions it appears red and the bag it's in is red as well so I just assumed. Inside the container itself it appears to be blue or purple. Guess its time for me to break down my 'zaan :) Thanks for the correction

I bought the blue gel stuff and it works great. I only use a small drop. Like a tiny bit on the end of a tooth pick small.

Great thead, glad u revived it!
Question... When you put it back together, I'm assuming u used blue loctite. How did you spead the loc-tite, and did you tighten and then back off the screw a bit? Please explain your procedure.
Thx

I used blue DoneDeal.
Put small drop on thread, then tighten and then back off the screw a bit, yes.
Next day I see good fixation. Whole pivot not turn toward scales now (I think, small amount of DoneDeal penetrate between scales and pivot).

Very cool. Just now I received two Wilson Startac's. I'm not breaking them down just yet, as one of them is for a friend. What I found interesting is one of them does not have the lock stabilizer. Awesome! New thread on these soon...

Were they new from Wilson Combat?

Yes. They were drop shipped from Wilson to my dealer and then overnighted to me. Believe me, I was very amazed when I unwrapped them.

That's a great pic of our knives Blackend, I'm happy that I was able to get over to your place today to pick up my StarTac. I haven't put this knife down, been messing with it all day.
I'm really surprised that I like the lock stop now that I have it in hand, although I still would've preferred the other one as it would've matched my Tanto Umnum ;P

This may be the knife that finally kicks the tanto out of my pocket, if the harpoon swedge grows on me a bit more it will.

Great thread and great pics, thank you to everybody who has the computer skills to figure out how to post a pic, once I figure it out I'll put up a pick of my pair of Umnumzaan's
