Umnumzaan's for sale

I'm torn. I have an S30V pre-LBS and really like the knife but just don't use it. Seems like a trade off of keeping a knife I like but don't use or using the funds for something. It'll probably gather some dust while I make up my big fat mind.
 
I have tried so many high end blades and keep coming back to the Zaan... Phenomenal knife.
 
I traded a couple Zaans for knives I thought I would want more in tHe recent past but after I did, I was freaking out not having a Zaan and then that LBS thing showed up. I went on a frantic mission to find an S30V, pre LBS and was lucky enough to get one. It is going no where now! ;)

I got mine several years ago and have been carrying it every day since. Its been a great investment as it cured me of my desire to continuously purchase new knives. Its the best folder in the world IMHO so it makes no sense to purchase anything else. It handles all cutting chores without complaint and its ergonomics are phenomenal. If you have one, don't sell it or you will regret it later. If you don't have one, life is too short not to try one out!:thumbup:
 
Same here Reeek, when I found out about it I looked everywhere for one with a s35vn blade without a LBS, which seemed to be the hardest one to find, but luckily found one after looking just about everywhere...it's my EDC workhorse.
 
Had a Zaan regretfully sold it and then got another and it's not going anywhere!

That was basically the only issue I had with my first Umnu, which was a very early one. The recent Umnus have really come a long way with several "minor" tweaks.
 
Just got a WC Zaan, dang what a sweet blade! And guess what? I'm putting my LBS version for sale! Haha, awesome.
 
I actually just sold mine today. I wasn't using and couldn't justify it sitting in my knife box. It's a really nice knife, just not getting any use from me.

I really need to find one in S30V. I have the S35VN and it wont hold an edge for anything. I'm really dissapointed in this steel. It sharpens really easily but as they say, easy come easy go. This was probably a good move for CRK to save tooling wear, but I won't buy another one.
 
Just sold my large plain Sebenza, great knife but took a backseat to the Zaan and sat in a drawer. Besides, now I can consider getting a micarta large Sebenza!
 
Really wish I could find one of these of the Startac variety. I'm sure there's one under my nose.
