Let's put it this way, forums are places for open discussion,
meaning : ANYTHING can ( and usually DOES ) occur. This is what
basically sets Western Civilization apart from the rest : no "caste
system" ( although we are working toward that!

), no real authority
figures present, and hence, freedom! But freedom has a price, ALL free
nations in the Western World have their fair ( and sometimes not-so-fair ) share of problems associated with being free from tyranny. When
we allow censorship & have stringent"rules" we deviate from our "norm"
of allowing "all" to be able to express their opinion(s) to the "elect" "few". Forums have existed since Greek & Roman times ; when these two civilizations allowed these to become constricted they
became tools of the despots that ruled later in those same civilizations. In England, I'm told, the House of Lords still has fistfights on the floor of the House! This is HUMAN BEHAVIOR ( not at
it's best, I'll admit

)but none-the-less this is the "price" of being free. It seems these days most Americans would rather dispense
with ideas as these, the Constitution being one of them, and if you forumite(s) don't agree, look at how Ashcroft got his bill passed into "Law"! Just take words like "safety & security" and the Constitution is rendered "null & void" by "patriotic" "Americans";
this is the case in point with this forum, and, if we don't like what we read ( or see ) we can, having free will, IGNORE the offender.
A.E.T.
