Uncle Bill has to go to the hospital. Rusty, take over.

Keeping fingers crossed up here in Maine. Us old farts need more time in the barn between trips. Be Well, Bill!

Went back and reread Bill's first post, called Saint Mary's. They have a 66 year old James Martino in the cardiac unit. Haven't seen his wife. The man can't take phone calls.

Bill's home number is still on the answering machine. This was as of 9:30 AM PST.

John, Jim anyone... if you know more, let me know.

You are always in our prayers.

All the best...Bill is one of the highest-grade humancritters I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's got enough Karma-points to make it through anything...

Hey old friend
My prayers for your recovery.
In friendship and respect

What? Another knife? Don't you have enough of those things already?
How many does one person need?
And just what are you going to do with this one that you can't do with the others?
What is the purpose of all these knives anyhow??

Uncle Bill,

Prayers and positive thoughts are headed
your way! Take care and hope you have a
rapid and full recovery from whatever ails
you!

Frank

Jay H, you were the last one to make the cut off.

Our mail goes out at 3:45 PM ( 6:45 Eastern ) and we had about 52 well wishes, so I printed the whole thread out, copied the condensed addresses down, and headed for the Post Office. I got a big 11x14" white envelope, addressed the lower right corned to Bill Martino ( in hospital ) c/o Yangdu Martino, at the HI PMB, and then started the first of three columns taking up more than half the rest of the envelope. It went something like this:

Texas
Catoosa, OK
Hilo, HI
Minnesota
Tennessee
Kuala Lumpur, Malasia
Baton Rouge, LA
Enumclaw, WA
Hong Kong
Manchester, UK
35 or 40 more....

You get the idea, nearly fifty different states, cities, nations, all highlighted as a return address...

Uncle Bill,
Do your best David Letterman impression and get well soon. I've missed you at the General Forum for a while, "Best Thread Starter Ever!"
Good thoughts comming at you---->
