Uncle Bill's Memorial Salyan knives.

And bro, I'm betting that it's the one and only that doesn't need it. These were not made for sale - they were made for love of Uncle Bill, and they show it.

Well, Yvsa went and told me to get one (in a roundabout sort of way, granted) so I'm gonna have to get one eventually.

I look at these and I get visions of those $20,000 European over/under shotguns; one look at the gun (if not the pricetag) and you know that while they work, they're not meant to be worked, but if you had one...could you resist doing it at least once?

I wouldn't be able to. :)

Yes, and they weren't made by a barefoot guy kneeling over a charcoal fire! GET ONE!

Yangdu did a terrific job in getting these made, and pulling the feat off flawlessly. The Saylans are gorgeous, particularly with the white horn handles! Uncle Bill would indeed be proud, but I'm sure he was well aware that Yandgu would take over the helm with no problem whatsoever...

Well, I was on the road to LA, and missed out on this one. That'll teach me! Hopefully there will be more...

I'm upset that I haven't been able to check in for a few days! This is one that I would have found the money to buy, whether I had it or not. I hope more are to come. Such amazing knives, with so much meaning. Next batch, I hope.
