Under knifed?

Nope. Went for over a decade carrying a Buck "Cadet" stockman with it's 2 1/2" main blade every day. I used it as both a truck driver and a construction worker and never felt "under knifed". These days I tend to carry a larger blade. As others have said, it's "because I can", not "because I need".
Knarf I sure would love to see your collection/most used knives. You are one of the couple people (Larrin and Deadboxhero as well) that got me into metallurgy.

I mainly carry a Delica and its more than I realistically need. I could probably get by with a sharpened key.

I have been under knifed many times. I recently forgot my pocket knife and had to use a box cutter for work for a few hours instead... It wasn't long enough to cut the foam I was trying to put up. I have had a few other times where I have forgot a knife, or 3.75 was to short as well espically when cutting foam. Anything under 3.5inches would be under knifed in my book most days. But, it really just depends on your lifestyle. I like long knives.:)

🤣 you sound just like the Guy doing the Sham-Wow! Commercials.

I seem to recall thinking that right after I ran the tip of a Ka-Bar through my middle finger...
My most serious self-inflicted cut was with a tiny Red Shed fixed blade, so . . .
