I've had a real fascination with gec's 66 lately. I've been tearing through this forum visiting past posts I've browsed before, searching and staring at all these salacious 66's. This frame style is my 2nd favorite for its profile and easy pocket carry. I see a lot of threads dedicated to the #15 (deservedly so), and threads for the 72, peanuts, conductors, and so on. I for one would love to see a spot for 66's to gather. So help me scratch this itch and post up your 66's! Here's my one and only.

One of the few threads of this kind where I can play as well :D
I also believe that the #66 is one of GEC's best frames.
In terms of comfort in my hand, it's better than the #15 (which on the other hand is available in a huge variety of blade combinations, mostly thanks to Charlie I guess ), rides well in the pocket, and basically it's my favourite size. Here's my smooth yellow bone #66 jack, modded into a single bladed version by our skilled Glenn:

Wow Fausto!!! That is awesome!

I really like the 66 frame also Captain Howdy.

Here's my two:

I'm gonna have to track down a Yellow Rose 66 Slim now. :)

Nice HJ6 you have there. It's a great pattern with a lot of different variations. I like them all but the slim is probably my favorite. I'm a sucker for single springs. The California clip is a very useable blade shape for my needs.

Is the white one Elk? It looks great. I have seen other Elk handles knives before but none of them have really stood out to me. That one does.

Flint I believe I've seen your mammoth before, it's a true beauty.

Well Captain, thanks for starting this thread! The #66 is my very favorite pattern, along with the #85 and #15. I have three #66's at the moment but will be adding one more before Christmas. Full disclosure...I have let a couple go...one of which I will include in the pics below. Currently in the stable:

Good thread, I only have three of this frame - the fourth I gave away. Versatile pattern but I would say I prefer the 68 Equal End. Very good to see the Slim version in single-spring. We start with Black Pearl

Finally, the Jack variant. I feel very fortunate to have this Rotten Banana example and its bone is darkening satisfyingly with use. The Pumpkin Patch Acrylic version that Brian shows is an enviable knife, fine example of that rare breed.

Great thread Captain - well done - and what a great bunch of 66's

I only have the one 66, but it's one of my favourite knives. This thread is making me kinda hungry for more! :D

Thanks Captain Howdy and Will. Will the rotten banna bone is perhaps the rarest/most desireable. I'm envious of that one too! Here's a couple more of the pumpkin patch acrylic for your viewing pleasure.

Very nice looking knives. I really enjoy the ebony versions.

These almost have a sunken joint.

Brian, that's a stunner Pumpkin Patch! Reminds me of when I was a kid, one of my aunts had a very nice cat with a coat colours like that! :D My Rotten Banana is serial No.22 so I assume the run was 25? I think the Pumpkin Patch was less.....

Thanks, Will
