Hi All. I'd like to Samurai wrap a knife handle, bare A2 steel. I do not want to use skin as the under wrap. Any ideas that might work as an under wrap? Thank you.

Rayskin is tough and grippy but you could always just use micarta and secure it with a pin.

Didn't think you had any bare A2 steel handles Lycosa :D

Your's fell off! :O
Thanks, Koyte! I'm getting some great ideas. I just found a roll of Silicone tape! Hmm??

A friend here on the forum has used skateboard friction tape.

well, the rubber is removable at first (you can cement it in place if you want) and the tapes are all going to be removable, I'd just try it out and mess around.

Skateboard tape is a fine idea, too.

I'm the guy that uses the tape, I think it comes out nice. Stick-on stair tread is basically the same stuff but not available in as many colors.

What about the stick on grip tape for tennis rackets or golf clubs?

SDS

What about Plasti- dip? That stuff thats on the handles of wrenches and other tools?

It's a grippy rubber with pumice stone in it, and you can just dunk whatever needs a handle into it.
