I would say that Kizer is underrated, my Ray Laconico "Intrepid" is awesome. It's smooth as butter, carries great and locks up perfectly at about 40%. With the steel insert I shouldn't have to worry about over travel as a tend to flip mine a lot.
I may just have to pick up a Kizer knife. I know they are made in China.
I carry a Smith & Wesson revolver and a Buck 110. The pistol is from the 60's and the knife from the 70's. Neither is cool but both are very functional.

The Rough Rider Knives are very under rated and I worry that I'm going to see the price start climbing every day.
Taylor's Schrade line comes to mind immediately.
And Buck doesn't get the respect it deserves these days.
I agree, even though their are many people on the Kizer bandwagon, and for good reason. It's the people that can't bring themselves to buy a China made knife that are missing out.
You won't be disappointed. I own 3...Gemini, customized Flashbang and received a Vanguard Intrepid (G-10 version) yesterday. If these were USA Made, I could see people paying double and being happy with their purchases. I honestly don't know of any other brands at their price point and quality level.
