What in your guy’s opinion are some of the more underrated Bussekin? For me, it’s the SYKCO DB421. I have 4 Bussekin (TGULB, Hell Razor 2, MountainManDu and DB421), and the DB421 is by far my favorite. I rarely ever see discussion or threads about this particular knife. Are there any others that seem to fly under the radar?

Must have pics!

Can't think of too many Bussekin that I'd call underrated, atm...but the original Ergo series knives don't seem to get as much love as some others.

But those who know-- well, they know ;)

You may laugh but the Skeleton Key is arguably one of the best and most practical INFI blades out there.
If there was ever a model I wish Jerry would revisit, it's that. I would buy half a dozen and put one in every carry bag and vehicle I own. Brilliant little knives.

Original Basic 5, Basic 7– They weren’t flashy, and the low price and “discount” M-INFI steel were an invitation to dismiss them as second class knives, but they are so light with the hidden tangs, so comfortable and secure in all weather and temperature ranges with the Res-C handles, so strong at a full 1/4” thick, and they stay so sharp for so long with the asym grind. Functionally damn near perfect as hard use knives IMHO.

Swamp Rat Rodent 3. Whatever mystery wood they used is very light. A Mini Vex with G-10 scales makes the R3 feel like a feather. Wish I had scooped up some more when they were available. I know this one has at least one twin out there. Somewhere.

Oh my, a whole lotta blades. Many of the new Piglets, through no fault of their own, simply are not aware of the older, highly desirable (in their time), Old School Busse and Swamp Rat.

To name but a few:

SHBM
SHBA
SHSJ
BA 3
Basic series (Basic 9 is brilliant)
Asymmetric edge anything
BM-E (full disclosure, not a fan of the Ergo handle)
EU-17 series
MOFO/MOJO + EU versions
SFNO
Ruck
Game Warden
Ratweiler!!
Battle Rat
Satin Battle Rat
Camp Tramp

After 16 years of Bussekin and Bourbon, there is no doubt that I've forgotten many worthy blades. Please forgive my lapses.

Late to the thread and was gonna say skeleton key as well, but you beat me to it. I’ve been a busse collector for years now and had never even heard of it till a few weeks ago. Blew my mind when I saw the photo, had no idea busse had ever made a knife like that. Perfect size for edc. I guess not many of them were made so photos aren’t too common

........ listen...... all of you ..... the SK is a TERRIBLE knife....no one should own one.... please don't try and convince the unwashed masses that they somehow need to seek out a SK.

People..... THESE MEN ARE TRYING TO LEAD YOU ASTRAY..... beware !!!!! :D :D ;)

Santa's Outlaw Wicked (SOW)
Beautifully ground distal taper, recurve, satin finished with red G-10 handles. Later included in the 2007 Special Edition set, & with different G-10 on satin.

I love my Lil Smokie and pocket carry it often.
I think most SMALL Bussekins get a little overshadowed by big thicc choppers. Im lucky that I don’t need to take my knives into war zones, so I’m a fan of the thinner slicier models (like the recent ELMAX Slicers), or those that I’ll find not only bombproof but also useful in everyday or camping tasks.
