Underrated or under appreciated Bussekin knives.

I never see these Ergo Public Defender's get mentioned but I just picked this up recently and it seems just about perfect for an EDC belt knife to me. I much prefer the tanto tip geometry for anything other than a hunter/skinner, especially where it may see defensive use. I question to myself why the deep belly is such a prominent feature on Busse, I guess it may just be a common thing in modern knives in general but who knows.

Another of my favorites that are long forgotten are the Mini Mean Street's. Great little knife with a small footprint, would make a great necker knife I would imagine. I see it as a 50% scaled down version of the Boss Jack No Choil, which is one of my top favorites.

I love my Lil Smokie and pocket carry it often.
I think most SMALL Bussekins get a little overshadowed by big thicc choppers. Im lucky that I don’t need to take my knives into war zones, so I’m a fan of the thinner slicier models (like the recent ELMAX Slicers), or those that I’ll find not only bombproof but also useful in everyday or camping tasks.

This is truth, Lil' Smokey has been a favorite of mine since I bought the original Blade 2015 model w/ yellow & black G-10 years ago. This one was a recent pickup that I gave to my father a week ago, such a handy little knife and the handle is simply exquisite. This one w/ bloodwood handle is a bit on the thick side but I have one for myself which I recently got from Chad Pirtle w/ zebrawood that is a bit thinner and just feels about perfect to me, I just need to put it on the grinder next and put 12 degree per side edge on it to make it scream!

Love my AD6 (BIG DC). It’s my trunk knife. I have to say it’s hands down one of the very best designs.
Nice! I bet this thing looks super nice with a doublecut. Everytime I pick this thing up I wonder why it gets no love.

I mean.. it checks so many boxes people love. Res-C, Infi, lightweight, can stab as well as slice really well, falls right in that edc sweetspot for fixed blades, and looks really good doing it.

Well I have seen a lot of Silent Knights resold on the exchange, but I really like the design. It carves Turkeys well, I haven't used it on anything else though.

Ooh, that's good looking. But I don't think that's an Ergo handle, at least not the original style.
