Unique EDC Knic Knacks

Not unique, but things every man should have:
-Sears 4-way. Can still get them for 89 cents.
-P38. Can still get them for 25-50 cents.
-Safety pins.
Won't even notice them on your key chain until you need them.

I got this ten years ago on EDCForums. I don't remember any other information other than it was $35. Maybe someone there might have also gotten one and have information on how to get them. I'll see what I can find in the meantime.

Thanks, seems like a nice thing to keep on the key chain.

I've got a similar pen, not on a bail, though. They are for sale in different formats.
See: Beta Inkless Pen.

They aren't that crazy, but I get a lot of use out of my mini Sharpie and Fisher Space pen.

I've got a beautiful Fisher bullet space pen like yours, but mine is a grey-green camo. Lost it somewhere a couple of years ago. Yesterday I pulled my desk away from the wall to retrieve a watch that slid behind it -- and there was the pen! Great for the bottom of a pocket. I don't like their clips.

and there was the pen!

Sweet. And they are small enough not to notice in the pocket, but when deployed are full sized pens. Plus you get all of that space pen goodness of being able to write upside down, on slick surfaces, etc. I used to rely on the micro pen on a Swiss Army Knife, but that sucker is so small as to be almost unusable (even when you do the little trick of locking it under the hook to create a "real" pen). A pen of some sort should be in everyone's pocket, IMO.

I remember what James Mattis wrote about carrying a knife even if he didn't have anything to cut and a watch if he didn't have an appointment coming up and a pen even if he didn't have something to write. You never know when you will.

I keep 4-6 small 1/4" diameter rare earth magnets on a little screwdriver on my key ring. Glad I had them one day. A lady dropped her car keys through a drain grate in a parking lot. Put the magnets on the end of a metal rod and picked up the keys by the steel split key ring.

Oh, and a tag that if I lose 'em, to drop 'em a mailbox & they'll get returned to work. I've got 13 years in, 17 to go. The set's $70, but when I retire, I'll pay the $. They're mine. I've earned 'em!

Other than keys and a pill fob, my keychain isn't that unique. What's unique is the carabiner I use to carry them on. It's one piece of titainum. It also has a hook that acts as a bottle opener.

NOTE: Not my keys in this pic.
