Now, people like different things for different reasons. Part of what we love here in the Busse community is the sheer brute durability of Busse knives. They are just plain unstoppable. I know of several SERIOUS Glock fans here, and I'm sure you can appreciate the following article about some serious abuse a Glock 21 has endured. I present to you, the unstoppable Glock, believe it or not:

For almost 10 years I’ve been abusing and neglecting my Glock 21. Its been a running joke among some friends and I. Nothing was planned or documented. As I tell people what it has been through, most simply don’t believe me. I guess I wouldn’t either. If someone told you their Glock has at least 150K rounds through it and has gone almost 15K rounds with no cleaning or maintenance would you believe them?

G23 is what accompanies my Busse family blades. Probably somewhat irresponsible and I am sure my dad is not impressed but mine has never been cleaned, except for a quick blast from the compressor when I think of it at work.

In my younger drinking days my glock slept in the dirty bilge of my buddies boat overnight. We woke up the next day I of course was pissed about leaving the gun out and it getting kicked into the bilge but also that I had been irresponsible with a weapon. We dried the pistol and still put about 6 boxes of cheap blazer fmj through. I have no idea how many rounds I have fired but I have had zero misfires, zero stovepipes, and zero failure to cycles. I have had many guns over the years and cannot say that about any others.

Fantastic blog......thanks for posting the link......

No, you cannot borrow my G17..........:D

My G21 has been going strong for years! I've had one bad magazine cause feeding problems. I replaced the ejector block shortly after I bought it over 12 years ago to correct the ejection path and keep empties from bouncing off my head once or twice per mag.
Other than that, it's aim, press trigger, repeat. Almost boring if it wasn't so much fun!
Same goes for the G23 and G26 I had. Nearly boring repetition and accuracy.

Thx for that insane review. I've been a Glock fan for over 30 years now, currently own a 17C, a 20 and a 26. Thinking about getting a 21. I recently fired a 32 and really liked it, but the ammo is almost impossible to get over here.
I can never think of reasons to want another brand, can always think of reasons for others to switch to Glock (can't argue personal taste, all the rest is Glock all the way :D).

I can't quite get over the feel of glocks...the extreme angle of the grip is strange to me. I've been considering purchasing one (since you can get a nice one reasonably cheap compared to some brands like sig HK etc) just to shoot the heck out of it and get used to it.

They're not my thing, but I know enough people who swear by theirs that I'd trust one if it was the only pistol I had..which is more than I can say for some brands/models.

I don't know how to load a direct like to youtube, but if you click HERE you can see a Glock 18 spit 300 rounds without a jam or ftf! You can't put a price on reliability.

This month's issue of "Combat Handguns" has a neat issue on a glock that a guy says he's put something like 1000 rounds through consecutively without any issues. Can't remember exact details.

For the money glocks are the finest handguns you can buy period.
Ive owned more than a few over the years and have never had a bad one yet.
G21,17,19,26,22,23,27. many models more than once.
Currently G17 user.

I fixed the grip angle on my G23 by sanding off most of the checkering on the bottom back of the grip where the heal of your palm rests. This changed the angle just a bit and took away the rough feel when shooting. Glock grips can be slightly customized pretty easily with some sandpaper and ingenuity.

Only someone who owns a Glock could believe it 100% as the truth, without a bit of skepticism. Being a little skeptical myself, I decided to have my own endurance test on one of mine. I shoot two pistol leagues each year, & as of starting this year's winter league in two weeks, I have estimated I have run appox. 30,200 rounds (+/-) thru my Model 34 with no cleaning for the last two years. I shoot 115g & 124g FMJ alternating between the two. I have had no slide malfunctions, no failures to feed, no "stovepipes", & no extraction problems. The only failure I have had was a no shoot on a reload, & that was entirely my fault for not seating the magazine all the way into the well. A quick hit on the magazine, racked the slide, & it started firing. I myself would like to know if anyone else has run there own "diagnostic" test on one of their own guns. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how many rounds before it has a stopage of some kind. Iboschi, thanks for taking the time to post the article.
Be safe.
p.s.: Please remember, ALL GUNS are loaded until you personally check them yourself . . . :)

Coulda fooled me ;)

Ewwww, now that's an ugly pic! Never even heard of polymer failure like that.

I'm a Glock guy 100%. To me there's truth to the saying:

"You show your friends your (enter favorite high-end production pistol here), but you show your enemies your Glock." -??

Professor.

Has anyone dropped a busse out of a plane yet:confused::confused:

We used to have a guy on here who was a Special Forces type who dropped his Busse A2 Steel Heart 1 out of a helicopter with no ill effects. I don't remember the altitude involved.
