Actually, the way the shelter is positioned, water would come from behind it in a heavy downpour. I had not considered that when I saw it because it is generally pretty dry around here, but you point out a subtlety that can make all the difference between a dry night or a wet one.

Location of a shelter is equally as important as its' construction :thumbup:

Great find... looks a bit aged..but you'd spend less energy revamping this shelter than consructing a new one;needs more pine needles or toss on a tarp and then small limbs/pine needles and a floor/bedding.
