Hi Folks -

Post up your unusual JKs -

I have this one, I think it is one of just a couple that John ever made with bi-color scales.

This knife is made from 1/4" thick 01, has a chisel grind, and has faux bolsters made from black micarta mated to tan micarta, which makes for a great look IMO.

Maybe John could be persuaded to make bi-color scales again.

weird grind, not what I call a chisel grind, it's a (modified chisel?). How do it work?
Are you a lefty?

Looks like a LH chisel grind BUT both sides have been sharpened. Definitely unusual...you got me there.

John called it a chisel grind. It works like a sharpened prybar - not gonna slice tomatoes or filet a crappie with this bad boy.
You could hammer it through a 'fridge though.

I am not left handed - the major grind on this blade is done on the same side as Emerson knives that have a chisel grind (at least the ones that I have...), and I don't prefer a chisel grind for my knives.

I picked this one up from John at a gathering because it is odd and I love the handle treatment.

The grind is unusual, but keep in mind that I originally made this for myself. That was a highly exaggerated asymmetrical grind. Does anyone remember the E Series knives from Busse Combat? They used an asymmetrical grind on the edges, and I really liked it, easy to sharpen, and cut like crazy.

good idea for a thread, andy, should be fun, and I always liked that bi-colour scale, :)

Here's one, I don't think there is another, it's a "broken" rougue absed ont eh fixed balde rougue pattern

I don't think there are too many Sam's Swaybacks either

How about the one and only Kitchen Set - with the Paring knife and Camp and Kitchen knife, shown with the nearly as rare Chef's Knife -
