Upcoming Northwoods #54

I think I might have to pick up another one. This knife goes above and beyond what my expectations are of a quality made production knife. Great job Derrick and GEC!!!

That's a keeper. Part of me wishes I had sprung for a green bone but I am also pretty happy with my blue bone.

Damn thing is a bear trap to open though.

That knife was certainly well-worth the wait, burnside. There's a lot of depth and texture to the coloration. Thanks for sharing the pix.

Looks great, burnside - nice score on that one!

Thanks! I really wasn't quite sure what to expect, but now that I have it, I am blown away by the craftsmanship that went into it.

I think this one is a keeper as well. I am really enjoying the green coloration on this one. The variation between both halves give this knife great character in my opinion. It looks much better in person than in my photos. The walk and talk is also great! It's a bit of a bear trap but not too bad. I can open and close it easily enough with no problems whatsoever. I wouldn't want to close it on my finger in any case. I am, however, able to ease it closed without letting it snap if I choose to do so. This knife can also be pinched open if one prefers to save their nails (assuming one has week nails).

It's a pleasure, and I certainly agree that it was worth the wait. It was an unexpected surprise actually! I am amazed by the fit and finish too. Zero over-blading and zero under-blading when open. Completely flush all around.
