  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

For me, a new Spyderco would need to surpass the awesomeness of my Spyderco Domino... And so far I'm just not feeling these new models.

Not saying they are bad, but I've got a wait-and-see mentality.

Would love to see:

  • Southard Mini with a just under 3" blade and preferably CF instead of G10 scale
  • Techno Maxi with a 3.5" and/or 4" blade and titanium backspacer.

The new sage 3 looks pretty nice, but both the sage and chaparral feel too close to the Caly 3 for me to warrant a buy.

I want these more than any on the actual list!

Ditto.

Specially, on the Southard Mini which would instantly and undoubtedly become my favorite Spyderco of all-time! :)

Only one black Southard? With the right CF scale it'll look sick.

I believe you have very nice different scales on your five current Southards?

Yessir, that's the plan for me. That way I can rotate and carry a different knife every day while I carry the same knife every day at the same time ;)

Carrying this one today, incidentally:

The Tusk is interesting for sure. Love the titanium with frame lock's. A lot of ranchers, famers, cowboys, etc. use the marlin spike for rope work.
The other day, a 75 year old retired cop showed me how to make a dollar bill ring and did some tuck work with his spike.
Origami at its finest!

How's that Arberg? I've had their normal 10 year and it was maybe the peatiest Islay I've drank. Big Lagavulin fan, especially their distillers expression.

I'm a little worried that I like my Southard a little too much. I haven't really carried much since I got one and I can really understand now why you have as many as you do. It's just gotten smoother and smoother with flipping and man, it's so much fun.

The only one that has my attention is the Tusk. I already have versions of the other knives that am happy with. But I'm curious to see how the new Sage 3 is received, because the blue G-10 is not what turned me off to it.

The new Spyderco C123CFBAP Sage 3 with CR/G10 laminate instead of blue G10 is now available for sale. Shop around!

Sorry, late stopping back in here to see this. I have a few Ardbegs in the house, but that particular one (the Corryvreckan) is not just my favorite Ardbeg, but one of my favorite single malts altogether. It you're good with the smoky peaty sort of Islay flavor it's quite tasty. I've always got a smattering of various Laphroaigs and Lagavulins and such kicking around, and the Corryvreckan fits right in. It's on the feisty side, though, at ~114 proof . . .

I have an unnatural love for my Southards, so I feel for you. I don't usually do multiples of knives, I'm not really a collector, per se, but I have no problems with owning a small pile of Southards. I have new scales on the way for one of my remaining unmodified Southards, in thunderstorm kevlar, incidentally.
