Hope so too, thanks for the suggestion. they say it may take a while to trace the transaction but it's worth a try!

Are you a homeowner with insurance? Even renters insurance? I would call your agent. Depending on your coverage level, you may be able to file a personal loss claim. Sounds crazy but worth a phone call.

What also may help is contact your card company and get the transaction info. May be easier for the post office to figure it out with that info. Never know it's worth a shot

Thanks for the suggestion but I live overseas and live in hotels whilst in the US.

Thanks so much - wa supposed to get a callback from the post office where I shipped from but nothin so far. I will call them again with the credit card transaction details in the morning and hope we can get a tracking from that. Cheers.

Good to hear you got the credit card transaction details. Now it just a waiting game on their end. You got the credit card transaction details now so they now can pull it up for you. It just may take some time as we all know they move slow an hate to fill a claim as that means they mess up. Keep on them Bear it took my buddy quite some time with calling an calling an and pushing an pushing but once he got his credit card transaction details it was a done deal.

Hey Mist,

The Kephart was originally purchased in June 2013 from USA Made Blade. Since then it has survived a typhoon and was given a pretty thorough spa treatment by Andy. The last time I saw it it had a heavy patina. I'll drag up a larger picture.

I hope you have a larger file. I have gone through the entirety of the 2012 and 2013 fotki albums...twice...backwards and forwards, which was simultaneously a lovely walk down memory lane and a painful reminder of some awesome knives I missed out on, and did not see that one as far as I could tell. There is a picture from Blade of 2013 that has a similar looking Kephart on Andy's display table, but I did not take a close up of it sadly... It may have been a Blade show knife, or may have gone to a dealer without getting photographed at the FF shop.

I enjoy a browse through the old pics quite often! I believe the Kephart was originally posted on 05/24/13 and then went to USAMadeblade where I picked it up in June 13. My computer is in meltdown right now so can't upload any files. The handle scales were cracked and separated, Andy made a great job of fixing it up but the repairs can be seen.

This one?

Any lines showing up from the repairs may have thrown me off then. I was trying to look for the right lines in the wood grain. If you can post some larger pics where I can see the details better I will be able to tell better if I see it offered up for sale on any of the knife groups I am in.

I had just about given up on my package ever arriving as the Post Office didn't seem particularly interested in helping me use credit card transaction details to track the shipment.
Long story short; the address I shipped the package to is located on a National Guard station just outside Nashville, i was chatting to an officer assigned to the internal post service for the National Guard and mentioned I was trying to track down a box i had shipped to myself. he said "your name isn't Julian by any chance is it?" My jaw dropped and and I gave him a hug...I just had to wait until today for confirmation...

Beloved first Fiddleback, 2 other beauties and my Fiddleback Forge band-aid dispenser (used too frequently) back home!

Faith in man restored, maybe not the USPS just yet....
