Update. KNIFE HAS RETURNED! New Large Inkosi.....Need advice/opinions Please

Still haven't heard anything from CRk as of today. Hopefully they will call tomorrow and get things going. I really miss this knife.

They close Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so tomorrow will hopefully be the day.

Yeah I know. I'm just rambling. Hoping I will hear something soon. It hit me again tonight that I haven't even cut anything or even used it yet. I know it will be great like my small was...I'm just getting anxious.

im in the same boat as you are...the swedge on my insingo looks waay uneven. It got to Boise on friday and just awaiting to make sure they got it. The rep at CRK quoted me that they should have my knife back in about 2 weeks hopefully.

That stinks. I think they are just so busy that it might take Longer. Mine arrived there on the 27th of January. I called last week and they said it should get shipped out this week.

I hope yours gets turned around in a decent timeframe for you. I love the insingo.

I called CRK this morning to check in and Talked to Matt on the Phone. He was great to deal with and was very apologetic that things are taking so long. He said that they have a new Procedure for processing orders (warranty/Spa), and it is taking a little longer than expected to get it up and going.

He also informed me that my knife was in fact done and ready to go out in this next batch which includes 70 knives!!! Holy cow!!

He told me they were also covering the shipping paid to them, and that they will send it back for free, and again was very apologetic.

Cant wait to get it back in my hands. Hopefully before the weekend.
 
How long now?

He verified my info and said they were hoping to get the current batch sorted out today. But he did not say how much longer it would be until it was headed my way.

Well, still no update or contact from CRK. Its killing me. I have yet to even use the knife.

I realize now that my mistake was not looking over the knife when it arrived. If I would have, KA could have exchanged it in a few days. Trying to stay away from BF in hopes that I can get it off my mind.
 
I'm glad they are busy at CRK, means they aren't going out of business......but
It's tough when you are caught up in a cog of that big wheel.
 
I used to buy new CRK without looking them over at our local b&m store...all other knives would get a thorough look over...but thanks to these threads, yesterday I looked over a large Inkosi with micarta, and the bevels were off and very noticeable at the tip...of course I didn't buy it...in my opinion at that price point it is unacceptable...

I always look over my knives when they arrive, especially when they are new. I was in a hurry when this one arrived and just threw it in my pocket without looking at it. It was not until the next day that I decided to look it over. This is the first any only CRK I have ever received like this. Every other one was perfect.
 
Made another call this morning after not hearing anything for another week. Talked to Kayla, and she said that they were waiting on Anne's return to issue my refund check for the shipping. She said they could ship the knife and send the check later.

I opted to send the knife and get the check later. Heck....I could care less about the check, just want the knife back so I can use it. I was probably driving them crazy calling once a week and then emailing Halfway through the same week after I heard nothing. ( I did not do this until the 10 day quote was reached)

Scheduled to be here on Thursday. I will update this thread then with my findings. I'm not sure what they did. But I'm guessing they simply touched up the edge. Also curious about the burnt tip. I'm also guessing that was left alone.

Find out Thursday I guess

I am trying really hard not to be frustrated with the situation. I would feel differently if they did not quote me 10 days, or if it was in for a spa treatment.

I dont know. I am still excited to get it back, surprisingly, but to tell you the truth.......not as excited as I was to get it initially.

Hopefully that will change once its back in my hands. I know how much I loved my Small Inkosi.

I think you have every right to be frustrated; I know that I would be too. Someone from CRK posted on the FB group that they were changing processes and thought they had most of the kinks worked out but it affected everything. So what would've taken 10 days took longer. It sounds like a growing pain for sure and you happen to get caught in the middle of it.

Rest assured though (at least in my opinion) you'll have the finest folding knife in your pocket come Thursday. Remember sh*t happens; it's how you deal with it that affects you most. You've handled all of this really well and soon it will be resolved! :)

Not a problem man. I'm glad it's getting sorted out; the more I use this thing the more I like it!
