Hello everyone,

Just showing off my small collection so far. Not as big as some of the others on here, but I'm still proud of it. :p There were a few knives that came and went, but here are the ones that stayed.

Benchmade:

Benchmade 940-1 Osborne (First Production)
Benchmade 921 Switchback
Benchmade 923SBK Switchback (Prototype Jan. 2005)
Benchmade 923SBK Switchback - GONE
Benchmade 10700 Nagara (Prototype Sept. 2008)
Benchmade 13740 Harley Davidson Nagara
Benchmade 235 Paul Axial (First Production)
Benchmade 482 Megumi (First Production)
Benchmade 482 Megumi - GONE

Benchmade 6150SBK Mini-Rukus (Prototype Dec. 2006)
Benchmade 32 Mini-Morpho (Prototype Feb. 2006)
Benchmade 3300 Infidel (Damascus Special Edition)

The 3300 Infidel Special Edition is my grail knife, as I am a huge Benchmade fan. This knife features a Damascus blade with "Special Edition" written on it and a regular 3300 handle/scales, unlike it's Gold Class counterpart, the 3300-81. I got this from a retired Benchmade manufacturing rep, who had won this as his prize for Top Salesman in a contest several years ago. I contacted Benchmade for more information on the knife, and they had a product service team do an investigation for me. They later told me that they were unable to find any info on it as it was never produced for the public, and that it must have been made solely for an internal sales contest. Probably one of the rarest Benchmade knives out there!

UPDATE:

Just got in a new knife! It's my first Gold Class, and my personal favorite of all the 940's out there.

Benchmade 940DM - #91 out of 100 (June 24, 2004)
"Designer: Warren Osborne; Thunderforged Damascus blade steel with dual thumb-stud openers; Thunderforged Damascus handle scales; stainless steel liners; Pewter finish carry-clip"

Other Knives:

UPDATE #2:

06/05/2016 - New knife again! It's my first Kershaw knife:

Kershaw Leek 1660DAMCKT - signed by Ken Onion - I got this in the mail in time for The Blade Show 2016 held in Atlanta, GA. While walking around, I ran into Ken Onion, the Leek's (and many other models') knife designer, and got him to sign it! Definitely one of my favorites in my collection.

Opinel No. 6
Opinel No. 7
Opinel No. 7 (Carbon steel)
Opinel No. 8 Luxe (Bubinga)
Gerber Torch 1
Buck 503T
CRKT Ripple K405BXP Aqua Blue - GONE
MCUSTA Katana MC-0043C - GONE

Ontario Rat Model II

As you can see, I like folders and tend to lean towards Benchmade. Any suggestions for my next purchase? I'll consider any brand though. Post below! :D

I would say that is a VERY nice collection. Are you interested at all in fixed blades, or only folders? Maybe add something like a KA-BAR since it's such an iconic knife. As for folders, maybe look into some of what Spyderco has to offer.

Thanks!! :D I usually go for folders, but I'll definitely consider your suggestion! For Spyderco, do you have any particular model in mind? I didn't like the Tenacious personally when I held one because of it's larger size but I'm open-minded to some of the other models.

Awesome stuff man!

My only suggestion is try out kizer knives!

Huh, I haven't heard too much about Kizer. Do you have any suggestions on which models to get me started? Thanks!

I see that you are in dire need of fixed blades.

I have only two words for you: Busse Combat.

Now that you have read those words, you have two choices... Dive in and enjoy, or run away clutching your wallet.

I've heard good things about the Spyderco Paramilitary II. See if you can't get your hands on one to try out.

Very nice collection!!! For a Spyderco, I would add a Gayle Bradley, either version 1 or 2. For a fixed blade, a Becker BK5, if you can find one!

You need a custom fixed blade with a chisel grind... #igotyoufam

Dang..that Infidel makes me drool. There is a few Benchmades I really like, namely the Bedlam and the Rift. I guess I would suggest a good fixed blade for slicing and one for wood processing.

All those butterflies and not a single spyder...

Never buy a slip joint.

......because once you do you'll be addicted to them?

@op: If you do cross over to the dark side you should check out great eastern cutlery, they have a ton of different patterns and are very well made.

Very nice collection! As for Spydies, I would suggest looking at the Slysz Bowie or Gayle Bradley's. Maybe a ZT 45X series

Very impressive collection and Benchmade is a great favorite. A real pleasure to view some quality knives.

You seem to lean towards BMs. How about a 300-1? They're a bit chunky, but I like the nice hefty blade & the action is the smoothest of all my BMs.
Or
Spyderco PM 2. My favorite Spyderco.
Orrrr
CRK Sebenza. Pick your flavor. They're all outstanding.
