Update on John

I am sorry to read this John. You and your family have not always had the best cards to play with. I will pray for you John.

That aside, I know you will give it hell and not go down without a fight. Just like your knives, you are tough as nails!

One year ago today I had surgery for GE Junction Cancer. It was successful, they said they got it all removed. I go for CT scans every three months for checkups, so far, so good. I go again in late May. I will also have an endoscopy in July to get a closer look. Every three months I see my surgeon, oncologist, get CT scans, and get bloodwork done. Every 28 days I get a B12 shot, I’m anemic. It seems like I’m always at the hospital or doctors appointments.

It’s already August, so time for another month of doctors appointments and tests. I did have my endoscopy in July, that looked good.
I see my primary care doctor tomorrow, Connie sees her surgeon next week, then I have a CT on the 18th, bloodwork on the 20th, see my surgeon on the 26th, and my oncologist on the 29th. We will wrap it up on the 30th when Connie has more tests.

Forgot to mention the most important thing. We will be welcoming our first great granddaughter in late August or very early September! Hayley and Jack are having a baby girl!
Congratulations! Within a month from then we’ll be having our second; also a baby girl. I hope you get lots of quality time with your granddaughter!
