Update on knife making progress!

Nice work MrPink, very good first effort. It is a lot of work, especially if your doing it all by hand. I built a 2x72 belt grinder last year, now I need to get the time to get out there and start useing it.
Congrats on 2 fine looking knives

thanks for the compliments everyone!

I wasn't happy with the pikal's handles so I contoured it some more today. It's much rounder and fits the hand better now.

I might do the same rounding on my general utility knife, but haven't made a decision yet.

Hey Six Footer can you post some pics of the belt grinder you built.

My first try at kydex, no more cardboard sheaths.

I made some minor modifications to my pikal's handle, still need to hand sand it. Also, I made a major change to my necker, I didn't like the original wide blade so I turned it into a mean little recurve; it was also my first recurve so it's rough.

It's a three finger knife, but fits very secure in my hands.

Experimented with rounding all the exposed steel, including the tang. Definitely helps it feel better in the hand.

wow dude... nice... that sheath came out great.. looking forward to checking those knives out...:)

great work, i really like your designs. keep it up!! if you ever to the point of production, please let me know!!!

Thanks everyone, I plan to make more of these knives but in 1/8" instead of 5/32".

The more I carry and use my little recurve, the more I like it. Here's some nice patina from after the Yosemite trip.
