Update on the Seb and PM2

Glad you're liking the PM2 more. I must not be giving mine enough pocket time, because I have to stop and think about the compression lock (too used to liner and frame locks).
I jumped on the s110v train - got one ordered, just waiting....and, with my past PM2 experiences, I figured it would be a good idea to (again) plan ahead. The 110v will be clad in bocote. I'm afraid that I might find it a little too dressy for regular carry; but I plan on giving it some pocket time. (The scales will be here well before the knife, I'm afraid; but I'm okay with that.)

On the other side of the coin; I'm liking my micarta insingo a good deal more. I give a lot of the credit for that to the functionality of the insingo blade; but I knew in advance that I loved the blade shape for general utility.

Let me know if you end up liking the PM2! Also, there might be a Micarta in the works over on my end as we speak! pray for me! :D

I just picked up a Southern grind spider monkey. The little brother to the Bad Monkey, without the wave feature. Have not had time to carry it but it looks like an awesome EDC. The size is better for me than the Bad Monkey, and I also prefer the Small Sebenza.

I suspect that I will. My main issue with my earlier attempts was that I didn't like the scales. I became a fan as soon as I put the aluminum scales on it. I'm sure the bocote will feel great - I just hope I don't consider it too nice to use after the swap. If I do, I can always buy another, put the aluminum scales on that, and sell the S30V with its original scales. (Heck, I could sell it with a set of the blurple scales, since I won't be using them.)

I have sold off most of my folders to finance my new involvement in traditional knives including my CRK,s . However there are two I just could not bring myself to sell. One is my PM2 a Plain Jane camouflage model in S30V but what a great knife. The other is my Kershaw BLUR in Elmax. I know there will be some naysayers but I love my Blur. Even with the Elmax blade it comes in at just under $100 and IMO worth every penny. The blade length, weight and ergonomics for me make it one of the best EDC knives I've ever owned. If I had to choose between it and the PM2 I would simply have to flip a coin. I still have about 16 more folders that simply sit in a drawer but not these two one of them goes with me wherever I go and sometimes both. So think what you may about the humble Kersaw Blur but to me it is a keeper. Enjoy what you collect and collect what you enjoy and this marvelous hobby will always put a smile on your face.
