Update on Westllen :(

They found a "tumor" in the pancreas and a lymph node in the right shoulder is enlarged:confused:

They will do an ultrasound tomorrow to see if the clot is completely gone and just not traveled.

Then another type of scan to check on the pancreas and lymph node.

We are staying positive as best we can. They told him the pleurisy is what is causing all the pain.

Hopefully all these things that are now cropping up will turn out to be benign and I can get him home soon.
Keep the prayers coming. They are truly appreciated.

Janie

Keep your hopes up. Let the doctors do the worrying. The more they find, they more they can cure.

And yet more prayers from Virginia.

Hoping Jules' spirit is up -- attitude seems to be very important when fighting cancer.

Keep the Faith, and we'll keep sending positive prayers, thoughts, and energy heading his way, and yours too. I'm confident that he'll beat this. He's got lots of Good Karma due to him, and we're all pulling for his triumphant return to perfect health. Stay strong, think POSITIVE.:thumbup:

Jules Rulez!

Thank you, Mrs. westllen, for keeping us updated.

It's another day ... after another long day at the office.

And I'm still thinking of Junie and Jules.:)

They believe the mass is behind the pancreas. They are calling it an adrenal adenoma. Most likely benign.

:jerkit:

I don't accept that type of "determination" without a biopsy. Which has not been done. They will most likely discharge him tomorrow with the same meds he is taking in the hospital. Send him for an MRI in about a week.

He needs to get his lung cleared up so they can do the gamma xray and treat him for the thyroid cancer.

THEN we will go the next step.

He's trying to keep his spirits up, not an easy task these days. So with any luck sometime next week maybe you'll see him on line ;)

Each successful step along the way should help with his spirits.
He has our prayers as well.

Thanks for the update and tell him that we have you both in our thoughts and our prayers here on the Forum.

This is reasonably good news. A long way yet to go...

Absolutely agree about a biopsy -- but the interim news is quite positive. My oldest daughter's father-in-law-to-be (whew!) has been struggling with pancreatic cancer, so I've been 'forced' to do a lot of research in that area.

Not that it makes me a medical doctor! And I don't even sleep at Holiday Inns!

Hang in there -- let us know if there is anything we can do to help, little or large.

I will update all the particulars in a bit.

Just wanted to let you all know he is home - safe and sound with me;)
