i have downsized my collection sold most of my knives only kept 5.
1) ESEE 4- Black blade with black linen micarta(dyed it myself). Got to have one fix blade.
2) Hinderer Gen 4 Slicer with full blue ti hardware(even clip and filler) and got a XM tool
3) Sebenza 21 Large with Micarta inlay (same birthday as me!)
4) Spyderco PM2 Black on Black
5) Benchmade Mini Ritter Grip(M390)

I'm looking to buy another knife but not sure what to get. I'm not even sure what size what blade steel or anything if that. By looking at my collection I have now I would love to get some suggestions for my next knife.

I would diversify and get a machete. Condor, Tramontina and Imacasa make great beaters for various and sundry yardwork and there are somehigher end options from that pop up occasionally from companies like Fiddleback and Bark River.

Tell us what your favorite/most used knife is out of the 5 in your picture. That might give us a better idea on what you might like:thumbup:

Have you thought about something specifically outdoor/'survival' oriented?

You seem to have a pretty diverse collection started. Very nice knives so far, but uh.....I also notice you have no Emerson.

A nice CQC-7A would kill those two birds nicely.

A lot of good outdoor fixed blades available too. Good luck.

Thought about a machete but I don't think that will get used. I live in NYC never been in a situation where I needed one. Haha.

I use my ESEE 4 for most outdoor activities and it's been serving me well.

Most used has to be between Spyderco PM2 and the Sebenza.
I like my Sebenza better but just by a tiny bit. It begs to be used especially with the micarta.

How much are you looking to spend?

Do you want another fix blade or folder?

It's hard to make a suggestion without some filters to narrow it down.

Blues why don't you add some eye candy to this thread. ;-) perhaps he would be interested in one of those Dunlap's. Seems like he's lacking a traditional.

Have you considered another CRK? Perhaps the Umnumzaan?

With your description, I'm going to assume that you prefer manual opening over flippers. That said, maybe a Les George Talos...

Well, you have CRK, Hinderer and a Spyderco you might try out a ZT or a Strider next.

If you are satisfied with productions perhaps save up for some custom you've been eyeing!
Let us know what you get!

Great idea!

Or you can really treat yourself with one of André Thorburn's knives:thumbup: You never mentioned a budget:)

Man I'm diggin that first picture knife not the CRK
But I don't know what that is. Correction you did mention the name.

Maybe I should add one traditional in my collection but I know nothing about traditional knives

Nice blues!

Without knowing specifics I second going for the Umnumzaan or of course a Thorburn ;-)

I actually just finished customizing my first CRK. I am usually against this sort of thing, but it's completely reversible with a spa treatment and I wanted to have a bit of fun with it. I have another bone stock one.

If you like the CRK fit and finish and wan't something equally well made I would suggest a Shirogorov. The F3 is my personal favorite:

You also seem to be missing a tiny knife to stick in your coin pocket. I picked up a Frikky a couple of months ago and have really enjoyed beating up on it. Great little knife, it also has a very well designer bottle opener incorporated into the tang:

Lastly, if you want a masterpiece of a custom get anything by Thorburn. Perhaps something like this:

or

One last suggestion. The 21 is my favorite CRK especially the CF models. You really feel the difference in weight, and IMO they add to the beauty of the knife. Seems like you are a fan, so maybe another 21 is the way to go.

Good luck hunting. Let us know your thoughts on the suggestions.

I had couple of zt' like ZT 0562 and than I moved on the the real deal that's why I got me a Hinderer slicer.
I've heard some not so good things about strider so in ify on that. But I did almost pull the trigger couple of times on a sng.

Nice choices. But I think my CRK I have now have fed my CRK itch
But I'm looking at Jim Dunlop knife that the other member has mentioned.
I think that might be my next knife. But gotta do some research on it. I know nothing about traditional knives.
