Sorry, I hadn't actually made my decision when I posted that, I just wanted to make certain you guys knew they were doing right by me.

I was given the option to have the knife fixed (blade replaced), swapped for a new one, or anything else in stock equivalent to the MSRP of the knife I had. I opted to go for something different.

I am not sure what happened, really, with this particular knife. It seems like from the get-go, I just didn't have good luck with it. But in the end, Benchmade stepped up and made it right.

I am still a die-hard Benchmade fan and while I may not buy any new ones for a while, I'll sure be happy using mine and drooling over what I'm not buying!

I totally jumped ship and went with some fixed blades at the equivalent value. I'm kind of scared of the folders right now!

I got a Rant drop-point, a 210, one of those multi-tools and some BlueLube. It came up to almost exactly the same amount as the MSRP on the 710. At least this way I shouldn't have to worry about sending anything back for repair!

A friend told me I should have gotten one hi-end folder but I honestly have all of the folders I really want. It may have been the best thing to do, but I know I'll be happy with what I've got coming.

My 755 in M390 has yet to show any significant wear or damage to the edge after more than a year of frequent use.

You mean to say that after a year of frequent use you still have a sharp knife? Not even my light saber will do that.
