I achieved the bold pattern weld by forging 45 layers of 15N20 and 1084 high carbon steels
I heat treated in a digitally controlled furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with a distal taper to the tip
Stabilized wood handle that I repurposed from a pallet. It is as hard and dense as oak but in not sure of the species
Overall length: 8 3/4 inches
Blade: 4 1/2 inches
Oiled leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
SOLD delivered within the US. I will ship to other countries but additional postage will have to apply. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com
