Urban Dead Revisited

Frank?

If you ever find yourself low on AP's and near an active revive point, be sure to move there before logging off. Revivers love it when rotters clog the revive points and Mrh? at them. They really love it when they waste syringes on you. (They usually check profiles before using syringes now but if you make sure not to Death Rattle and only to Mrh?, you can fool the new guys sometimes.) Making you leave (especially if you're an armored Body Building zombie) burns a lot of their AP's, both in terms of combat and also finding more ammunition; standing back up after a Headshot, on the other hand, costs a mere 6 AP. They'll usually spend more than that yelling at you. :)

Each hour you successfully block the revive point is each hour that those humans seeking a revive are out of the fight. Each syringe wasted costs the humans about 20 AP, on average. It all adds up. It's also quite hilarious for anyone nearby when the revivers don't really have the firepower to evict you and are forced to resort to threats, name-calling, and pleading. (Typically in that order.)

If you want to earn cool points, camp a revive point with some AP left and Infect any would-be revivers that come by, then follow them home. Crash the barricades and Groan for reinforcements. Even us ferals won't turn down a buffet and in the war between the humans and the zombies, you will have struck a significant blow. I've heard of revive points being abandoned completely due to rotters crapping them up.

Are you still in Shore Hills? I'm up in Shuttlebank right now, fattening up on the folks that can't seem to budget their AP's properly. I haven't seen any other zombies up here and was considering leaving. I'd be willing to take a stroll down your way if the chow's good.

My corpse is in East Becktown...just 2 burbs south of you.

It is true some groups will abandon revive points due to heavy rotter traffic. We really dont like it. Anyone who makes me waste a needle gets headshot, if they attack me they get added to my contacts and head shot every chance I get. My group also circulates the Id #s of rotters to ensure they dont get revived and do get head shot.

to see what all the hub bub was about. Holy smokes, that's a lot of Zombies. Any idea how much food is hiding inside there? Mrh?

About 2500 harmanz, give or take, according to the Wiki:

http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Caiger_Mall

I'll tell you from experience that one zombie can't make much of a difference here. There are numerous barricade bots and zergs inside the mall running on scripts; the moment a barricade falls below EH it's back up again. There's plenty of action but it's only Headshooters sallying fourth out of the libraries to rack up some easy XP on sleeping zombies; I've chased a few, but only one ever stayed and fought. St. Isadore nearby is a hopping revive point and it's fun to cause trouble there but not very useful. Even if you happen to wander by when a breakin is taking place and (gasp!) make it into the mall, even thirty or fourty zombies won't make so much as a dent in the population inside before they've been thoroughly Headshot and tossed back out the door.

SGR the zombie is currently on the ground in Gatcombeton, having raised some hell locally. Tonight he'll be heading south. Nasty was at East Becktown and you're at the mall -- we should probably get together and crash a PD or two.

Make sure to add me to your list so you can spot me in the mob.

I think we'd need a link to his profile to do this. He'll be on sooner or later, I'm sure.

As for making it to the mall, when I logged on to update my contacts list the local rowdies were Groaning up a storm. I have a bad habit of getting sidetracked from my errands when things get exciting, so it may take me a few days to get down there. (In other words, I have a hard time refusing a free meal.)

Shamblin' Sam - http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=453407

Low level dead guys just havin' fun.

Lurching gait and Ankle grab will follow for DedVet while Sam sort of enjoys getting killed (again...and again) and standing up to take a whack or two as harmanz walk by. Caught a wounded level 21 the other day and took him to 1 HP before I ran out of hits...he actually wasted a headshot on a level 1...too funny!

There have been a few times where I entered a safehouse and the occupants attempted to evict me. I got up before they managed to dump my body. Rinse and repeat. It took them three tries to get me out once; as I hadn't been fighting back, I still had about 40 AP left. I was laughing too hard to attempt another breakin, as I know very well how long it takes to accumulate enough ammunition to kill three zombies. (Or one zombie three times, as in this case.)

Were it not for the various ways in place to grief survivors, being a zombie would not be nearly as much fun as it is. :)

If and when we get together, we'll crack some safehouses. It's easy XP when you have a few zombies working together to take down the barricades. Both of you guys have maxed claws and I have Memories of Life; we ought to be able to kick the door down on a VS safehouse in no time flat.

Yeah...I have been hunting in place with one of them, so little need for Lurching Gait, but want it more for the easy stand-up after death (again) that the later skill of Ankle Grab.

Got my weapons, now for chase speed and reserving moves.

The other guy is pure ambush...play dead, stand, attack, die, repeat.

I think Zombie is much more fun than living...all the living can do is hide, search, use, hide, search, use, etc...

I have had 2 or 3 high level military have to respond to my zombies...and even then, they get mad and use headshot.

I'm currently in East Becktown, inside the Darley Museum. I noticed a few zombies outside of it and had a look: loosely barricaded. What lousy hosts, barricading us zombies out like that! I tore down the barricades, ate one of the inhabitants, levelled, and bought Infectious Bite. I managed to infect one of the other residents and gave him a few zombie hugs before I AP'd out.

If you're in the area, the food's hot and I left the door open behind me. Make sure to say hi if I haven't already been Headshot.

Edit: Never mind, one of the Mall Tour soldiers stopped by and ate the last remaining survivor. Nothing but corpses here now. But hey, it was fun.

3 south of you at St Ethelbert's Hospital...stopped to chew on "jesse2", a low level civilian and ran out of AP. He's at 1 HP if you're hungry, come finish him off!

I tried to make it down there, but I bumped into two folks who hadn't budgeted their AP's properly and wound up on the street. After eating these two unfortunates, I only had the AP's to make it to the Herbert Museum.

I understand why you're hanging around EB now. Good food in this suburb. :)

As for my survivors, I'm spending most of my time looting malls for supplies. GRS the scout is in a target rich environment and is levelling quickly. (And making Headshots now, which is great fun.) The firefighter can't find zombies to save his life and isn't doing as well.

You didn't show in time so after 30 minutes, I ate his brain.

It was soft...

Civilian at Don Cinema [26, 13] in Gatcombeton down to 6 HP if you want'em...I have *got* to get gait!

Crashed James General Hospital. I didn't have much AP left when I got in so instead of going for a kill, I Infected as many of the people in there as possible. Halfway through my biting spree, an active player rolled in and started axing me; obviously he wanted to be Infected as well, so I hooked him up. My original plan was to talk trash with Death Rattle until he killed me, then pull a quick stand up before he could dump my body, but the guy was just not landing the hits to make it work. After a pause that could only have been him healing, I Infected him again. :D And talked some more trash. I was in rare form with the Death Rattle tonight. I sincerely hope that one of the folks there takes a screen cap of my spiel in there. It was that good.

The way I figure, it's going to take seven or eight FAK's to fix the damage that I did, not to mention rebuilding the barricades and killing me. Oh yeah. And if that sucker isn't extremely heavily barricaded tomorrow night, I just might do it again. They hate it when you crash hospitals.

On a related note, GRS the scout had an interesting time at Tynte Mall. The zombies rolled it, hard. 20+ zombies inside, no survivors. What the heck? And I just wanted some ammo! I killed the zombie in the square that I entered from (and levelled -- yay Bodybuilding) but two more active zombies arrived while I was looting the gun store. I politely told them that I didn't want to play and just wanted ammo but they wouldn't listen. They dinged me up pretty good before I finally left, but none of them could Infect. Weenies.

Nasty, I expect that my bullet-ridden corpse will be just outside the hospital when you log on tonight, but I'll probably be hanging around the NE corner of EB for a few days. This is one fun town that you have here. If I'm in your contact list, I believe (but I'm not sure) that you'll recognize me on the ground. We'll hook up sooner or later.

I still want to do a synchronized attack on a safehouse with you and Frank. Hell, I'll take down the barricade myself and leave the brains to you guys. It's fun and it's efficient, and lack of Gait won't hurt anything here. Both of you guys (and any other zombies in the area reading this) feel free to email me to coordinate if you don't want to do so here.

One point off gait, lying safely on the ground waiting for AP and at 99XP. Gait is next on DedVet...then Ankle Grab. I am tired of losing the 10 moves each time...I seem to always run 2 or 3 hits short of a kill.

I'm at maxed offensive...so hitting the cades isn't a problem.

I'll try for gait in the morning...then move to catch up with you.

I've wandered around there for two days now... I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Easy Frank...wander, attack humans, repeat as required. When you have done it enough, upgrade your combat skills.

Stood up, got my one point, got killed again.

Bought Lurching Gait (have to have that before Ankle Grab), walked to Caiger:

"There is a horde of 733 other zombies here. You recognise RobGraves amongst them."

I got revived after my little rampage last night. I went back into the hospital, smashed the generator, died of Infection, stood back up as a zombie and tore the place up. Two enterprising survivors axed me and dumped me on the street.

Stood up today to a bunch of Feeding Groans coming from St. Eleutherius's hospital. I discovered a gang of zombies tearing up the place and lent a hand to the tune of 130 XP. Brains all around, and I managed the finest Death Rattling of my life...I even received some zombie compliments on it. Ate a level 36 survivor. (Serves him right for spending the night in a hospital. He ought to have known better.) I am proud.

The door's still open and there are a few harmanz left. All are injured. If you're in EB, dinner's on me.

Err, I mean that I'm paying for it. But if you're planning on eating my brains, that's fine too. (It beats taking a Headshot.)
