URGENT ACTION ALERT: Write your Senators NOW!

I sent my letters. Just like everything else, big brother is taking all our rights away from us. Big brother is also working on taking our guns and ammo away from us. Will it ever stop? Most of these people have been in office TOO long. The good people in this Country need to vote the loons out of office and get new blood who really represent the people and not themselves. Now I feel a little better. As Smokey the bear said, only you can prevent your rights from being taken away.

I just sent my two to Senators Lautenberg & Menendez.

It took about 3min.There's no reason EVERYONE shouldn't be doing this.

I emailed my Senator. Is there any status report on how our efforts are going? Does it look like it will be dropped?
 
Is it any surprise? Government now sets values for the compensation of business leaders, Doctors, Insurance companies, and punishes those they deem unworthy.

Create a government, and it will govern. That's what they do. Elect a government with near limitless power and expect it to be used. The nation wanted “Change”, and by golly they will get it.

I find It fascinating; something as innocuous as a pocket knife, of any flavor, can be seen as bad or good. Inert objects have no agenda or intent; they are tools of the user.

Don't mistake this as an assault on an object; as stated in the first paragraph above, its about control, broad control. To decry the basic nature of Government, to control its citizenry, is not a waste of time, but it is a deed done late in time, and suffers there in. “It's hard to stop a train” but its far simpler to prevent it from moving. The elections in 2012 is not that far from us, and we can impact balance of control in 2010. Should we miss 2010, 2012 will be impossible, unless government does as it always has... Our surest hope is that the American public will tire of “change”.
 
In some ways I am kind of lazy and tend to let others do the work for me. However, due to many of the things that have happened, and could happen, since Obama has been in office I have started to contribute in small ways, such as writing these letters. Just shot off my letter to customs along with my legislators and will call them on Monday.
Every little bit DOES count
 
its past time for ALL to be in these if anyone know none members make sure they know of the outrage as well leters on the way to much change is to much well all have to do ore best thanks everyone

Thanks to you and everyone who has emailed their Senators and a special thanks to those who have made contributions to Knife Rights or become members.

As to a "status report," we probably won't really know how this goes initally until at least Tuesday when the Appropriations sub-committee meets. In any case, we'll post any signficant news on the Knife Rights site and we do make an effort to get the word out on the forums and via email when there is news. One positive side to this would be to require my knives to all be made in the US. Of course, I'm assuming that this mentality wouldn't turn into a US Terrorist Knife Act :eek:
 
well i'm for knife owners bigtime. but i don't import any weapons or knives. i guess i don't need or use those. can someone tell me what kind of knives they need to import? and why?

don't America have the best arsenal available in the world?

i will email my senators nonetheless. i don't want any rights taken away in this respect. now i do have a problem inporting Assault rifles......that is just plain overkill, pun intended.;)

Actually there is no positive side to this. There are a few threads where you can learn the trappings of this decision.

I'vm not an US citizen, but I'm against such restrictions! Hope you'll overcome in this battle!

I am tired of warning people who keep getting on their political soapbox.
