US Made Kershaws

With that said I think you would ruffle less feathers by offering a bit more content here, maybe a little longer summary of your findings, which would allow a little better jumping off point for further discussion.

Exactly. Just dropping a video is not a discussion. Offer more content here and add something to this discussion forum. You will get less flak. Also, think about posting your reviews in the review section. But hey, you do you. Just trying to explain why you may not be getting the clicks or the response you want. Also, don't support counterfeiting which you did in your first video here ;)

The curse of the Launch model!!! Love those fanboys that insist there is nothing wrong with that model!!
Total garbage. OP, try firing the knife with the spine facing the ground. It will NEVER lock up.
Return it now. Otherwise you will get cut if you don't check for lock up every time you open it.
Can't believe they refuse to acknowledge this issue and keep pumping out more models.
Joe

I have been playing with the Launch a lot trying to find the sweet spot. Also, you are correct with it not locking up facing downward. Its a good looking knife though, that is a disappointment but not ready to get rid of it yet.

Thanks for the advice Craytab, I will consider your position.

As for supporting counterfeiting, you will know that from watching the video, I used the counterfeit knife as a parts donor to repair a legit knife in that video. If Spyderco would provide parts to repair broken knives they would have gotten my money instead. It was more about protesting with money a policy Spyderco continues to ignore.

Excellent attitude, and one I share as well...don't like the video, move along to something more to your liking!
To the conspiracy theorists commenting here,
I have been making gun, knife, technology, travel, car, videos for about a year now. I just recently got the bug for knives and I have bought probably 50 or so over the last year. I discovered this forum about a month ago and have bought knives from two members and trolled a lot. My contributions to this forum have been in the form of reviews will be with videos. If any ignorant fools think there is money in making Youtube video's they don't understand the medium.

Youtube is a way to get a massive amount of information to people who are interested in the information. I am a visual learner and I appreciate learning from people who take the time to record, edit, and post a video for others to see and understand. When I am looking for a new product, I look out video reviews to better understand the product and learn something from people who have experienced that item. I made the video in order to contribute to the passion of knives. I have been a member of youtube since 2009 and they have never given me a single penny but you know about assumptions right?

"Also, I am hoping that many people here will click on my videos so that I may enjoy the added revenue."

Anyway, you do you, man. Just understand that there are reasons why you won't get many views from this site. You could at the very least buy a paid membership.

I won't watch your videos because you provide no content here. Other respected folks make videos but they also provide content here. You said it yourself that you are posting this on 8 other forums. How does that look? Doesn't look like you care about this community to me.

And as for you supporting counterfeiting.......well, you bought a counterfeit and then defended it by say it is spyderco's fault. If you choose to participate here rather than just post videos and buy stuff you will find that counterfeits and their legitimization is frowned upon. Spyderco is one of the most respected and active manufacturers here and you spit in their face when you handed your money to slime balls who actively rip them off. It was pointed out in your last thread that you could have paid $20 and had spyderco fix your broken knife. You chose the counterfeit route. Hopefully you can realize you made a mistake, learn from it, and stop defending what you did. Continuing to defend your actions on this matter will make your time here very unpleasant.

STOP trolling the OP

please. wow, what has bladeforums turned into?

I was initially excited by the Dividend but was ultimately disappointed, just as I was by the Link. After handling an imported 1220 Reverb, I think Chinese Kershaws may have finally surpassed the US made ones. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, however...it just is.

Just wondering what you didn't like about the Link? It's the only Kershaw I own, but I'm pretty happy with it. I do wish I had waited and got a Damascus or blue handled one.

I should use some of that Youtube money to buy a membership here!! As soon as I receive some I may consider your offer. Are you always this much of a dick offering up your accusations and criticism of things you don't understand? I assume you do it because you have been doing it awhile and people tolerate it?

If you don't like what I am doing then that is your problem! Don't want to watch? Don't! You neither add nor contribute to my existence, you provide nothing of value in my life. You have offered no content of your own! You have been the ultimate troll on this thread and I will not be replying to you anymore.

Good day!

That auto knife is just all around dangerous. Has no traction no guards and it fails to lockup lol. Marketed for a kid bringing it to school i guess. What a waste of 154cm

I am getting it to lock up pretty regularly now, but your right, it is taking some getting used to. Not a hard use knife for sure.

What do you mean? Like making sure you let off the button in time? If so again that's bad.

No, it hasn't been that finicky, I am noticing as long as I have a good grip on it, it locks up pretty regularly. If I am not holding onto it strongly enough it won't lock up (like limp wristing). Also, I have to deploy it like I would be using it. I can't deploy it in any nontraditional ways. When I try to get consistent lockups I am successful about 80% of the time now. If I try to deploy it in weird ways it will fail about 50% of the time.

I am sitting here flicking it over an over. I like the knife, I really like its ergo's, weight, and feel. The lock up is annoying for sure.

Um, you are responding to the wrong person. Make sure you quote who you want to insult before you do so.

I'm glad I heard this from you several different times throughout the forum (in a discussion on the subject no less). I was starting to consider the Emerson launch.

I guess I should clarify that I was disappointed for my purposes . I think that what Kershaw does with the Link and Dividend in terms of a US manufactured knife is remarkable. I just can't bring myself to like using assisted open. I'd love to see Kershaw offer us a US made knife that was manual but there hasn't been much new development along those lines for a long time.
