Use that Knife Desk Flyer!!

I'm a high school math teacher, so desks are my life. :D
I carry a knife every day at work but seldom have a need for one.
I usually break them out to open packages, slice my apples, and pull out staples.
But mostly they get uses to pose for forum pictures with some of my nerd toys at work.

But most of you are already aware of that... ;)

I can relate.

Perfect! :D:thumbsup:

After decades of warehouse work, maintenance, electrical, glass work, smelly co-workers and the like I have now had a desk job in the medical field for @5 years. I work for a great company and really enjoy my work. And the conditioned air! Numerous supplies are opened, and a lot of food cutting now. D86D0973-92AA-4C92-A593-D98A3B47FA9F.jpeg

I used to joke that the hardest use my knives got was spreading chunky vs.creamy peanut butter. An occasional steak would slip in. But now that I've got this beautiful French Laguiole from my wife on my birthday I thought it might get more use. I know this pattern is more familiar to baguettes and brie but I'm a NY'er so it will have to be bagels and cream cheese.20190113_172823.jpgIMG_9746~2.JPG

Food prep is certainly the most use my knives get, and I’m on a diet right now so the steaks are even fewer!

A nice Laguiole is definitely on the list at some point - once one catches my fancy at a good price. Yours looks very interesting!

I work for range operations for the Department of the Army. Basically I make sure everyone shoots their weapons in the right direction, people aren’t being idiots, and people clean up after themselves. We work 12 hour shifts and 6 of them hours are behind a desk on radio duty. The other 6 hours are in the truck doing whatever the guy on radio duty tells you to. If you ever see this ugly fake wood as a backdrop it means I’m on radio duty 😂😂. I always have a couple knives out on the desk for easy fondle action. Most workout my knives get is a ratchet strap every once in a while and food.

Thanks for sharing Paul - Also thank you for your service!

It sounds like your work keeps you on your toes; I’m sure you have some crazy stories from either the range or the radio.

Is that a Stallion? Very nice jigging and patina!
