I've field dressed squirrels (including this large fox squirrel) with my Native. Good enough? That lucky (I'll admit it) head shot was w/ a .22lr (Ruger 10/22) at about 60 yards to the base of the tree and about 30 feet up.

I assumed a .22lr would make more mess of a squizzers head..? We shoot thousands of the little gits over here (invasive north murican grey squirrel) and most people use an air rifle, or a .410 and they're in similar condition after.

Saying that a lot of people shoot .17hmr here in England and it makes a right mess of a rabbit!

Spyderco Endura 1 SE in G-2 steel. The molded FRN clip broke off, and I got a new metal clip from Spyderco. The serrations are pretty worn, but there is plenty of life left in this one.
