Uses for the Izula?

If that will make him happy, I will whisper in his ear and tell him I love him and that he needs every knife in our line :D

Oh, I can't wait for that Jeff.
Just come over some night when my wife is at work. :D
BTW, I don't need every knife in your line, but I want every one.
Lenny

Bottom line is he has no real need for the knife so why would he spend the money on something he doesn't need.
Jeff, I realize this is your own version of a philosophical statement, unfortunately, like the rest of the knife business, it's 80% BS -- as you're also fond of telling us.
We all buy things primarily out of want.
you don't need a steak - or any other meat for dinner. Beans & rice provide complete proteins. But meat tastes good.
you don't need sunglasses or a ballcap -- but you're more comfortable blocking the glare.
you don't need tequila - but it's nice to have a dram or 3 some days.
etc...
your company makes knives and outdoor gear.
we're all knife and gear junkies.
we like to buy stuff.

Want and need are two separate things. So, if the man wants one of our knives then I will agree with that.

Because your izula will never loosen, never have to clean out lint and dirt from the tiny little things inside, doesnt wiggle when you shake it, and honestly never lets you down.

I was a folder kinda guy till I tried the izula, and I will never go back to folders.....

Btw I dont hunt, fish, camp, really anything outdoors except rock and ice climb. I like to learn all about survival type stuff and hope to someday put it to use to test myself but havent had the time, yet.

Its so small, you dont know its there, then you need it and just smile.

O and wrapping and re-wrapping it with paracord is so addicting and satisfying at the same time.

Green would look good, after a few days/weeks/months, nah I wanna try black, then tan, then red, then orange, then grey, then etc etc. =)

Do you NEED it? Of course not. If you have to justify buying one, then you probably shouldn’t get one. But if you would really like to have one, then hell buy it! They are great knives! Honestly, I could probably get by with just a Mora and a SAK, but will I sell all my other knives? Hell no!

I bought my first two because I was worried I'd break a collectible. You get a lot of value for what you spend with ESEE. And I've no worries because of the warranty.

The Izula II is my first true worry free knife.

fair enough - although there is 1 thing the izula can do that no locking folder can match in my experience.
after carrying one in your pocket for a couple of years, the Izula's lock won't fail.
I've had 2 lockbacks (different brands) that were long term EDC blades stop locking -- either due to lock wear or dirt/lint in the lock. no fixed blade is capable of that kind of failure.

we have sold over 2000 Izulas in January so we have no reason to bullshit someone to sell one more. Ask an honest question around here and you will get an honest answer.

Thanks for all the input everyone.
I'm trying to decide between the Izula w/ cord wrap and Izula II.
Anybody use both and care to comment about the comfort of each?
Lenny

Thats what i like about jeff he wont tell you something just to make a sale.

quality products sell themselves, a loyal and cult-like fanbase doesn't hurt either. humility and honesty are values anyone can appreciate.

besides, for $45 you can't go wrong. after i bought a 3mil and izula i sold my newly aquired para2 because i realized it couldn't do anything those 2 can't do, so its the same situation just reversed.

This. Just get it, you'll be happy you did :)

Depends a lot on what size your hands are -- I like the Izula a lot, but I love the izula 2 with the longer handle and thicker full length scales, but I have large hands.
For me the Izzy 2 feels as good in the hand as an esee4 - only with a better balance.
A cord wrapped izzy is nice, grippy, & easy to use, but paracord gets nasty over time -- micarta is easy to wash & doesn't soak up "dirt".

A lot of people get those two things mixed up all the time. No one "needs" another knife, we "want" another knife.

As usual I like your honesty Jeff, reason I keep coming back for more Esee gear.

I'm trying to fit mine into my daily carry.
Just in case I need to carve a 2x4 in half or something.
