USPS - Are they on strike?

Like a couple of people here, I'm having an issue right now with USPS on 2 packages.

I've never had a problem with them before, but now I have one package that was accepted in Virginia last week and hasn't moved since, and one package that left the United States on its way to Europe on Thursday, and hasn't yet landed...!

I understand the one in Virginia, I guess, but I know that when a plane takes off... It has to land!

So I'm wondering: Is it that time of the month for USPS? Are they on strike? Is my package lost? At the bottom of the Atlantic? And if it doesn't turn up, what are the chances of finding it? Who does one call?

Anyone out there with advice?

If you're looking at the on-line delivery confirmation, it doesn't show when it moves from place to place, like UPS.
It only shows action when it is delivered...

No, it's the actual tracking function, where you can see it at every stop. It's what I normally use, and in this case the one package that has moved at all shows 2 stops before it went off the grid...

On some packages I've sent with DC, it shows every single stop. Other times, I've long since gotten the package, while the online tracking lists the package as only being accepted for shipment by the seller.
