You guys may have noticed (or not) that I fell in love with the CF154 Blur. Well, USPS lost one of them. Or stole it. Or just dumped it at another address. Not sure. I ordered more than one from Dave (actually just ordered a third...because it's that awesome), but the second one would have been here on Monday. Tracking info says it would have been. Guess what? Nope. They actually marked it "Delivered". Some schmuck scanned it in as being delivered, and it never made it to my office.

Un-freaking-believable. All the phone calls this morning to the USPS, of course, haven't done much of anything other than open a claim. They'll "investigate" it, which is nonsense, since they're practically off the hook just because someone felt the need to mark my box delivered.

Great. Effing great. There's one fewer CF154 Blur in the world. I can't express how pissed I am, and how likely it is for me to physically attack the carrier today when they show up. If you see me on the news for bludgeoning a mail carrier with either a box of Twinkies or a water cooler, you'll know the story.

I just had to vent...this really bums me out, especially since last week the USPS lost one of the holiday gifts I got for my wife.

Don't feel alone. Several months ago, the USPS indicated a knife had been "delivered" to me when it hadn't. I went down to my local post office and stood there while they looked for it. Sure enough, it had fallen between two bags (or so they said) and they were able to retrieve it. When I asked why the web site indicated that it had been delivered when it obviously hadn't been, all the clerk could do was shrug.

Good luck!

Damn, you've have bad luck this week. I hope a festivus miracle happens and it shows up brother!

Sorry buddy :grumpy: I have stopped ordering/buying things this time of year for this very reason. Every time USPS gets busy, they can't quite handle it.

It sucks that it had to be a blur :(

Maybe you will get lucky and it will turn up.

That sucks bro:thumbdn: USPS seems to be slacking around here lately also. Hope everything works out for you.

I feel ur pain man, my mother recently informed me that FedEx lost/stole 3 packages of hers that were Xmas gifts. Tracking has them making it to her town and being processed but never making it out for delivery. Whoever took them didn't mark them delivered they just disappeared out of their sorting facility. I would think the USPS could trace who marked them delivered and hold that person accountable. I guess it took some fighting but my mother actually got FedEx to take responsibility and pay to replace the items.

Not Twinkies and water, I need them and they left would ban them.

Call the customer service number on the USPS website and they will investigate it and give you claim number. The same the happened to me last week. I also sent a knife to Italy on 11/30 and it arrived yesterday.

Maybe we should start a Bladeforums shipping company. BPS, Bladeforums Postal Service. All packages will be delivered and a video will be uploaded on this site confirming delivery.

Yep, did that. We'll see.

Well that just sucks, rough deal indeed. Odds are slim but it might turn up...give em hell!

That sucks. Usps has vastly improved over the years in my opinion. Hope it works out.

Well I just ordered a Spyderco Southard that was sent from Michigan (to me in Utah), but it has spent the last two days in Seattle for some reason.

STD: ()

Don't give up hope on that delivery just yet. There is still a decent chance that it will show up.

Same exact thing happened to my ZT0560 Black Friday Special from Dave. I kept checking the mail box and when I finally checked the tracking number it said the knife had been delivered 2 days in the past. I was ready to cry. I kept thinking 'Why did this have to happen to the most expensive knife I've ever bought?' Called USPS, it got delivered the next day. Don't know exactly what happened but I got my knife. (Maybe they are marking things delivered early so they can pad their delivery time metric. Maybe the investigation persuaded someone with sticky fingers that it wasn't worth the trouble.)

Anyway, hope your knife finds it's way home!
